I am a Master Artisan working on Master Droid Engineer. Ive decided at this LATE stage to build my own harvesters and power generators and installations, so hope to master the installation tree of your profession. I started with reading the hologrinder sticky and got 10 structure modules and built a wall module.....my xp didnt move....only 1000xp.....I am using a structure/furniture crafting tool. Do I need to be close to a public crafting station? My impression from reading the sticky is that you need to make one wall then you would qualify for construction one...then start on the head statues....am I missing something? Your help is appreciated.....

If you make 10 structure modules then that should get you about 5000 XP. Not sure of the exact number. I think you get 6000 XP for each complete wall including the structure modules. You'll need to make a number of walls to get your first skill box.

It doesn't have anything to do with using a tool or station, you get XP no matter.

If your XP is not registering then you should relog, thats a known bug. Sometimes the XP just doesn't show up and relogging should fix it.

Your post set off some alarm bells in my head. You say that you are targeting MDE but decided to get to the point where you can craft your own harvesters.

Some thoughts for your consideration:

1. You *WILL NOT* be able to craft harvesters that are worth anything with just the "Installations" line. The high-BER harvesters require "structure experimentation", which only comes from the "Construction" line (and Master box). So if you really want to make harvesters you will need those two lines.

2. Each "line" in the architect tree takes 350K structure crafting XP, or a little over 175K of resources. If you are just using grind-quality resources that sell for 2 cpu (for example), you will burn at least 700K credits worth of resources just to get those two lines. At that point you will need some "architect high quality" resources (high HR/SR/UT) that, with your 8 experiment points (Masters have 10), you can then craft into high-BER harvesters.

3.Notice that for heavy harvesters you will need to run several components off in a structure factory, which requires that you have a bunch of the required resources on hand and do a production plan.

4. Frankly, unless you really really just want to try being an architect, or unless you were planning on making a large number (> 20-30) of harvesters, you could take that 700K+ credits and your time and go buy a heavy harvester fleet for yourself.
