Thread: Full moon over Naboo?

How many structure assembly points do you have? I think that makes a difference.
I would say I get 90-95% in the great success or better range nowadays and I've got about 123 structure assembly. (including 10 points for Mon Calamari )
I'll have to check on my SAPs when I get home tonight. I definitely hit great success or better in the 90-95 percentile range as well. And that's in a non-research center city. That's why last night really stuck out in my mind because I have never ever had that many crit fails...I was also getting a whole mess of moderate successes as well. It just got to the point where I would close my eyes, hit the button and hope for the best. Normally I'd just not craft under those conditions but of course I had a big order to fill.
Interesting stats on your research center vs. non-research center experiment. I never even thought to see if it affected the number of great/amazing successes... I was just concentrating on the crit fails. Still not enough of a reason to uproot me from my liitle home on Naboo though. ![]()

What a horrid night for crafting! Every other experimentation was a crit fail. I guess the law of averages is null and void in my workshop alone because I sure got my fair share of fails. I'm going to put up a vendor just to sell off the crappy failed harvesters that are cluttering my workshop floor. I wish there was a 'Throw deed against wall' emote...I'd be using that all the time.
Ok I feel better now...back to crafting.

When I was doing tests of crafting station quality I was getting a zillion great success and amazing success results and there would be a rare crit failure peppered in there with all the greats and amazings. Never anything else between great succcess and crit fail. You would think that if it wre still following some sort of bell curve or other normal distribution that there would be some good success or moderate failure results in there in small percent too but there weren't.
I'm fairly new to this, but I have noticed that using my 15% tool with my mates good station i get mostly great and amazing successes, though i still get some goods... This is without food, a research centre or SEAs
This is until last night i am crafting to make aheavy harvester unit schem so i can fulfil an order for heavy floras and on the first attempt i gotan average successand a success and only managed a BER4, so i scrapped that one and tryed again and this time got lucky, on my final couple of points of experimentation i got an amazing that pushed it up to 98%.
I'd say that we are talking a very skewed distribution, which with enough bonuses can exclude anything below great, or can reduce the chance of anything below a good to a very small %. However I am inclined to agree with the critical failures being hardcoded to a certain position on the random number generator, there always has to be a chance to fail.
Makes me curious of whether the same is true for amazing successes, but the only way to test this would be to use the worst tools and stations you can get as a novice and i don't see any masters dropping all their skils to experiment ![]()
I did some testing along those lines. Tool/station qualtiy doesn't seem to make a very noticable difference. Novices get a pretty random distribution of all types of experiment results.
