Hi All,
I am relatively new to architect, but absolutely love it. I have been trying forever to make a crafting station with better function then .. i think its 14.4. I cant seem to find out how to make the 40+ stations, and im using copper with conductivity 997 and getting fullexperiments. Anyone know where i can read some info on this?
thanks,

Hi
Maybe I can help you a little bit with this.
In addition to having copper that's extremely high in conductivity, you also have to have components that are very high quality as well.
The thing that counts more than anything else, I've found, for constructing the high quality crafting stations are the droid storage compartments. You have to get these components as high quality as you possibly can find them. The other components also have to be very high quality. Once you have all these materials, and they have been experimented up as high as possible by the folks that have made them, then together with your high conductivity copper you should see much, much better results.
I have found it helps me a great deal to have the crafter of the components put the percentage in the component name (for example, ask the DE to put the percentage on the droid storage compartments). This way you never have to remember what quality any of your components are...because it doesn't tell you when you examine the components.
Hope this sheds some light on the crafting stations for you! The highest rated stations are very difficult to make. But as long as you have nice high quality components and nice copper, you should be able to make some pretty respectable ones. I find that I can really never keep the ones I make in stock for more than a day.
Good luck!

True, I made a 30% structure crafting station and made the optional components for it. I did not use the droid comps since I am not a DE and could not find anyone selling them but I still made it up to 30%. The first one I created with NO optional comps barely made it above 0.

You made it to 30% quality or you made it to a Functionality Rating of 30? Those are two really really different things.

The FAQ, found here:
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=architect&message.id=44120
says this:
====================================
Q-5.3: How do I make a good crafting station? How do I get above 14.xx rating?
A-5.3: To make a crafting station with a high functional rating in the 40's you need to use all the optional components and everything has to be highly experimented with high quality materials. The crafting station itself should use 400 of very high conductivity metal (usually copper has high cond.) say around 990 or better. The other 50 can be an ore which does not have conductivity and therefore counts as perfect. All the optional parts use high overall quality and it should be as high as you can get. The droid storage components have to be made by a novice droid engineer. The control units and micro sensors are master artisan items. So either find a supplier or attain those skills yourself.

I guess it depends on the server, but a 100% working method to obtain droid commands is talking with another pilots and share.
You need unprogrammed droid chips. Look for them under the cathegory of misc in the bazaar, cause the usually come in crates

Check my sig - it's a written guide for beginners. Also a good guide in the FAQ. Spend an evening or two devoted to understadning droid programs, you'll be glad you did.

Go to the Bazaar, click on the tab at the top that says Vendor Locations. Down near the bottom there should be a field that you can type in labeled something like "Crafted Item Name". Type in "Ready Chip". Click on "Entire Galaxy" at the top. If something comes up, great, if not, try clicking the different catagories on the left until you find them. Look for the cheapest of the kinds you want like "Ready Chip: Weapon Overload 3", select it, and click the "Make Vendor Waypoint" button, or whatever it's called. Go to the vendor and buy it. This method can also help narrow down what category the item is in so you can search the actually bazaar to find them as well.
