Thread: Problem with /rotate

I was decorating a guildhall and after a while the /rotate command stopped working. Every time I use it I get the following message "Format: /rotateFurniture <LEFT/RIGHT> <degree>". I have tried using /rotateFurniture but I keep getting the same message. I have experienced this bug before while setting up a shop but this bug fixed itself after a month or so. Both guildhall and the house used for shop are generic, there are 6-7 people on the admin list. The shop is public and lies outside citylimitis while the guildhall is private and lies in the city. I've sent a ticket to CSR about this but got a standard copy/paste answer that I should /bug it ( I did when I first encountered the bug). So if anyone have any suggestions/solutions I'd like to hear them.

I havent really had any problem with the /rotateFurniture feature.. I wonder if you toggle the private/public would it make a difference.. because i was having problems with using my reyclers and that seemed to fix the problem.. or maybe I am losing my mind.. you just never know

I periodically have the same problem, but not with the /rotate command. On occasion I am unable to /movefurniture up X. No matter what I do, furniture will not move up...
When this happens, I just leae the item dropped, and come back to the building later. After a few hours, this command works as normal. I suspect the building has to reload, but I have not systematically checked this out.

Thank you for the replies, will try to make it public/private and see if the problem goes away. I had /move up/down problem too andlikeyou said it went away quickly but I have this problem for over a week now so its pretty annoying.

I have had this like problems at times too. But I found a means that overcomes it. I'm not entirely sure HOW this overcomes the problem, but this is what I do. Instead of typinging move or rotate commands, I made a macro for various movement actions. For Example I would make one set of ;
/move forward 100
/move forward 10
/move forward 5
/move forward 1
Then when assigning a toolbar slot to each made macro, and using the keyboard F-1 to F-12 keys, it worked properly.

Well changing privacy on the building and creating a macro for rotate didnt help
