I was running around naboo the other day and I can across a line of small naboo houses (all the same model) all in a row for about 300 meters. I've been wondering if they have any restrictions on houseing other thent he 1000m from town one? If not this game is just going to look like "Ice Island" in UO. Wall to wall small houses that all look the same...

Not many people can make large houses yet. Once more Architects get up to that level you'll probably see more variety

Maybe a new profession someday like a landscape artist or painter.
I do think large houses will help but sooner or later it will just be all large houses I'm guessing. Suposedly there is a limit on how many lots can be used on a planet. Not sure if it is true, just a rumor I heard from a lot of beta people.

Im pretty sure there is extensive "no build" areas whereas other areas are open for the suburrban sprawl you describe. Mind you when player towns come in, that row of small houses could be the beginnings of a town with facilities etc...
Also the reason we have "lots" is so that server population and space work out decently enough. wont have the UO problem of not enough space. mind you doesnt mean all the spaces available will be prrime locales i guess.
With such stiff maintenance costs though there should be a lot more turnover than with UO.

That would be one ugly town. At least mix up the house designs some...
