Having made master architect and made/sold most of the stuff I wanted to check out, I find myself getting kind of bored with just doing that. (If that's all I ever do in the game, it's just going to be MMOG Sims online and I doubt I'd stick around long.) So, I'm thinking of picking up some armor and guns and going to check out the hunting in some of the more exotic locations. Ok.. I'm tired of getting killed by all these #$(*$(& when I checked my harvesters, and I want some payback.. ok?
Anyway, I set up my HAM bars for a huge mind and action pool, and a health bar the size of your average anemic house cat. This simply wont' do for fighting, from what I've gathered.
If I migrate my stats to sacrifice some of my enormous mind and action pools for a bit more health, is this really going to have any impact on my crafting when I do decide to sit down at the old crafting station again? If so, how?

has it been documented that ham actually affects crafting skills? i thought it only affected action/mind events such a ssampling, special combat moves, healing, etc.
I dont think that it affects teh actual crafting part of the skill. but i may be wrong.

Not sure... I guess that's pretty much what I'm asking.
Having those big action/mind HAM bars was nice for surveying as a wee master artisan, but I dont' see what they are doing for me now except getting me killed faster on harvester runs.

Now that I am no longer sampling in the field, I'm starting to move my Action points over to Health and Mind.

I'm going to say that HAM has absolutely no effect on the actual crafting process... My Health is 850, Action 1100, Mind 500... All my points are max'ed in the 3 Action pools and all min'ed in the 3 Mind pools... I've never had problems crafting, only a shorter rotation on sampling...
I kept my Action high because I'm Carbineer...
