Look cool, thats about it.
I use them for messages (such as advertisments next to my vendors for buying resources from passing folks).

And you won't see many of them probably, because they require multiple parts from a crate.

I wish you could use data terminals in your house to check status of your structures and such... maybe pay maintenance costs remotely, check hopper/maintenace/energy status... heck, it wouldn't be too much trouble to do a "spot check"... just "create" the structure and run the simulation for a second like if you're checking it...
Oh well... I can dream.
Be nice if data terminals could give a listing of all the items in a house - including counts, so we could see if we're about to run afoul of that 250 item limit...
I'm not an Architect, but I've given them lots of money.
