I use them for messages (such as advertisments next to my vendors for buying resources from passing folks).

I wish you could use data terminals in your house to check status of your structures and such... maybe pay maintenance costs remotely, check hopper/maintenace/energy status... heck, it wouldn't be too much trouble to do a "spot check"... just "create" the structure and run the simulation for a second like if you're checking it...

Oh well... I can dream. Be nice if data terminals could give a listing of all the items in a house - including counts, so we could see if we're about to run afoul of that 250 item limit...

I'm not an Architect, but I've given them lots of money.
