Ok I typed a very descriptive post and it wont let me because it thinks I'm writing html tags... so heres a different version. I can't rotate my furniture. I've done it in the past. I can rotate furniture for about the first 2 minutes that I place my house. After that the game posts the message which says formate rotatefurniture left degrees. Obviously there are some slashes in there but the boards wont let me use them.

Anyways does anyone esle have this problem. I'm a master architect and I can't rotate my furniture. So my house looks horrible. Does anyone know a work around? I can't even use macros. I can't even rotate my furniture when I use the exact same spelling/caps as the message says.

The wierdest thing is that I CAN use the /movefurniture command and it works. I just can't rotate.

I assume you have tried /rotatefurniture left/right and that doesn't work as well.

If so, all you can do is /bug it. I have seen some strange bugs lately. Friend had to delete all his schematics as the resources were changed on them LOL.

I would go into the holocron and open a service ticket. The worst result you will get (and most likely alas) is a message saying "we know its a problem and thank you for your patience." If the CSRs can help, they are. I have had come good luck with the starsider CSR crew. The job is getting done there and they are making things happen, when they can do anything at all.

Couple other questions:

Can someone on the admin list move your furniture?

Can you move someone's furniture in a house that isn't yours but that you are on the admin list?

Is this a persistant problem that has been happening over a period of days? Since the last patch? Since the last server reset? Etc.

Sorry. You know you are screwed when all you get are questions to a "help me" post

I have this problem where sometimes it takes 5 or 6 button clicks (I put my furniture commands in the quick-bar) to start to rotateor move an item. The same thing applies when trying to move forward or backwards; it often takes several commands before anything moves.

But once it starts to move or rotate, I can then position it exactly where I want.

The slash commands are buggy at best. They generally need two or more tries to get it to respond. And if you try to move the furnature after you have rotated it. It only puts it back to the original position and rarely actually completes the move.

The raidal menu is the part that works just about all the time. The slash commands are more for fine tuning.

One last note, you don't need to actually type out the whole command, the first part works better than the whole thing as the chance of miss-typing is there.

Slash Commands:

/move <forward/back> <#> (Default is 10)

/rotate <left/right> <degrees> (Default is 90)

They work fine, they may give the illusion of not working fine, because you have to be completely still to move furniture, which anyone who forages, samples, or uses a shuttle ticket knows, the game doesn't consider you completely still until a few seconds after you stop moving. So if you try and redo commands from your history right after moving, it won't work. Sometimes it will be flaky and you have to issue a command a few times, but it's not common, and not a big deal, just don't move and keep issuing it. I've never seen it take more than 3 tries to start something moving or rotating. Furniture rotating to the default facing does that with or without radial, and it's just a part of the design. Placing furniture is easy, if you get used to it. I have placed over a hundred pieces of furniture and items in houses and have no problems. I have about 30 items on tables between all my houses, and even that is not that hard when you get used to it. Just find the right height and leave a marker on the stairs, it's pretty easy if you use a little ingenuity.

Janias,

That is the best tip I have had this week. THANKS!!!

After reading your post I ran to my house and starting rotating everything. Now I have the oval wall of my med. naboo house lined with bookshelves. All my furniture is rotated to make it look more lived in. I even rotated the dropped crates to make it look like they were, well, dropped!

Thanks a ton for those tips! Now I can literally move anything anywhere in less than a minute.

Can you tell I'm happy?
