Thread: Architect Crafting Critical Failures in relation to the Construction Skill branch

Greetings,

I am taking the time to formally express the frustrations of myself and other Architects that have been getting a lot of critical failures.

I have nearly maxed all my skills except for construction, since the Construction branch did not seem to grant the greatest advantage -- all it does is allow for more advanced experimentation. Recently I decided to climb the Construction skill ladder a bit. I was doing great! My critical failure rate was bout 10-25%. However, right after aquiring the Construction III skill I had eight critical failures on Structure Modules in a row and two out of four Wall Modules failed soon after.

I talked with a Master Architect and he was the one to inform me how others had observed their failure rate increasing the higher they trained in Construction. So I decided to conduct anexperiment anddropped Construction III. I then crafted 40 Structural Modules, 3 Wall Modules, 2 Generator Turbines, 1 Manufacturing Mechanism, 1 Structure Storage Module, and the final deed for a Structure Factory with only one critical error on a Wall Module.

I think it is logical to conclude that when advancing in any skill level that failure rates should decrease and not increase. Please investigate and fix this as soon as possible! This obvious bug is making the architect profession to be very tedious and, quite frankly, ruining the gaming experience of many players.

Some might say I'm inexperienced or a newbie, but after reading so many complaints that seem to be yet unanswered by a TSR or other SOE Moderator, I thought it be prudent to post in the Tech Support forum since the other threads were located in other forums not in Tech Support.

(I should expect SOE to reimburse some of my skill points for performingthese tests, and some resources for losing so much on so many"nerfed" critical failures-- asshould many of my fellow architects who have no doubt lost an infinitesimal amount of credits and resources)

And to my fellow Architects and other players alike, I encourage you all to keep a good attitude even though you get ticked off beyond description. The game has too much fun-potential to spoil with bad attitudes. Try to be pleasant!
