Thread: HOT FIX HARVESTERS ASAP
harvesters are out of wack
you can't turn them off when u want to and can't place power in them cuz it always reads 0
i have two in a city that i need to move asap but can't cuz i can't turn them off
i even stopped putting power in those two and guess what THERE STILL GOING!!!!
so soe you have got to fix these asap i need to mine new stuff but can't cuz all my harvesters are locked up and i have no lots left to place new ones
this is killing me as i need to finish a order but can't due to the fact the harvesters are so jammed up
so plz SOE fix this asap it needs a hotfix and its not that hard to do
i'll even write it but u gotta pay me lol hell i might even improve ur coded lol i think
but plz i am getting hit with a 50% tax and i can't move them (though the guild agreed to pay me back the tax charge very kool on there part ) but plz help me out with a hot fix like now
Even though there are workarounds (normally), thedevs should fix the problems they created, it just gets old when power doesn't display correctly. Harvesters don't animate so i can't look at my mining field before i leave to be sure everything is up and running. No answers to the fusion BER question's. Can't turn off harvesters, or change resources in some cases. It goes on and on, enough griping, my point is lock the DEV's in the server rooms and give them water and bread untill its fixed, it won't take them that long, its probably just a big SQL server anyway

Make sure you are not mounted when trying to change resources, turn them off, etc.
I have had to put in 3000 power to get it to 1000 from 0. I think they are running out of power bucause of the power usage bug but, they keep going and when you add power, you have to fill the deficite first and then it will go above 0.
So, don't be mounted when trying to do anything to a harvester. I know i can't change resources when mounted. Gte the power reserves above 0. Then try shutting them down.
I have found this out:
Turn harv off (if already off, turn it on, then turn it right back off) then do a refresh on the maint. It always seems to come back and show me the true value of power in there.
So I think it just might be a reading bug and not actually using more power then it is. I thought it was at first, but when I found this out by mistake, I had roughly 8000 power in most my harvs after they had said 0.
If you have the operate machinery window open then you put power into the harvestor you will have to close and reopen the operate window otherwise it won't turn off or on.
Like he said you need to be unmounted to turn a harvestor on/off or change the resource harvested.
The power pool is correct once the machine is off or on.
If you can't turn the harvestor off, try switching to a resource that been around for a little while then wait. Once that resource shifts the harvestor will shut off on its own.

Your harvesters aren't running out of power faster and they aren't running without power. The power display counts down twice as fast as power is actually consumed, so it ends up reading 0 when there is really still power in it. Each time you turn the harvester on, it updates the display with the proper number. Make sure you switch on your harvester once just before redeeding it or the deed will only read the displays power instead of the real amount of power.
