yes ,the factories no longer generate xps.
the bug/exploit was fixed ages ago and now you need to craft a item to get xps and use a entertainers buff to get bonus xps

Okay, let me apologize up front for this question. When I first joined the game in July of 2003 I was a crafter, but by September of that year switched to combat. At the time there was talk of (or it had happened; I forget) making factories generate XP for the owner.

Did this happen? Do you get XP for the items created by a factory?

Again, sorry for the ignorant question, but I just started a new account soley for the purpose of being a crafter (Arch and SW for sure).

Just want to get a plan formed for moving up the ol' ladder. If factories don't generate XP, no since making them until I can make a decent one for profit...

Thanks!

Well if I understand your question correctly, and nothing has changed that I missed (I havent been playing a lot either)anything that you make on the arch tree will get you exp. Now if you are asking if things that are made in a factory give exp, then if it does it's very low. Most people crank up the art tree to get into arch, then make harvesters IIRC. Again, I could be totally wrong with changes that have been made recently but that's how I ground up the tree, those and wall structures as you need them anywho.

Thanks. That's what I wanted to know. Looking over the forums, it seems like the Gungan Head Statue's are seriously over-XP'ed anyway, so I doubt it'll take too terribly long. Just created the char Tuesday afternoon and he's already Art 4/2/4/2 and Arch 1/2/0/1...

Kinda sad actually. It took me like four weeks in July of 03 to get Novice Weaponsmith...

just make personal harvesters for artisan grind, and for architect structure modules/walls until u can do gungan statues. It can be done in a couple hours.
