Thread: Increased house storage limits

Its been brought up a few times why cant a large house store 450 items ? 6 lots for the large house 250 items or 3 mediums for 6 lots and 450 items wich cause serious clusters of housing it would be in the best interest of the game

to allow these large houses to hold 450 its a bonus to the crafter and traveling around 1 large house loading for every 3 mediums would seem to cuase less server lag , the items disapear when no one is in the house so the data size shouldnt hurt that much when you take into consideration less housing would be up , this would also give us a slight bump in sales for a bit , buy a large to replace those 3 mediums you have up

Sorry just some questions ive been asked from other players and to me it makes sense but this is SOE

I really like this idea I actually came here to post this same thought. I have a med Tat house and there is no reason it should hold the same amount as a small house. Does not leave you enough space to decorate and store supplies.

If each player pays $15/month and each player has 10 lots then increasing storage capacity in structures that consume more lots (including Guild Halls)to matchthe same rate per lot (75) as smaller houses consumes no additional database storage per player. ...and the large structure owners are not getting their money's worth of the database.

amen! Im so sick of having to go from warehouse to warehouse to find materials I need for crafting simply because I don't have enough storage in ONE house to keep it all! Remember way back when houses first appeared and the devs told us the limits were temporary? Its a rip off that a 6 lot house only stores 250 items and a 9 lot PA hall STILL only stores 250! Garva's home shows make a big deal about constructed waterfalls and fishtanks, and I make these items myself. Only trouble is, there is no room left in the house to do anything else!

Having 2 small housesinstead of 1 large house allows more storage, costs less, and uses less lots.

What is the point of even having a large house aside from showing off your wealth?

Yes, make the storage like 1000 items for Large Houses!

Until then you can use a vendor for storage, its more easy to retrieve and resell than going from inputhopper to inputhopper or from house to house. And it dont use a lot

While they are at it, if they are gonna make the structure factory still cost us 2 lots, then I want the double storage over what a normal factory has! Fix the storage, please!

speaking of storage... crates should cap at 1000, not the random amounts they do now. I don't need 65 crates of 15 generator turbines. I just want one big crate of 1k. That is a total waste of space IMO.

Let the crates be larger and be able to be re-combined after they're split. That should help the database.

Heck you could even say the resources cap at 1mil stacks instead of 100k. There, you just saved some more space.

These would be the first things I would change to help the database and also make our lives easier.

Agree

1. OMU in crates

2. Increase crate count for all subcomponents. If possible let crate size be something we dictate. 1000 generators would be good, but Im sure weapons power ups and food should only be 20 per crate.

3. Increase resource make container size to 250k to 500k.

Good idea.

Right now I have a large house and the only thing in it is my crafting station and some backpacks tohold all my materials, nothing else. Makes no sense. Another solution would be not to count furniture as items so that we can actually decorate our houses without worrying about space. This and the ability to pick from like 10 colors when making furinture would make furniture worth selling, right now when I make furniture i have to sell everything for under 500 in order for anyone to buy it.

Be cool to if when creating a building we could actually shift rooms around to make a semi-custom house, after all we are architects

With 2 accounts, a large house, and 2 "mini-storage" units....I have to agree. 75 items/lot should be standard. I need my lot space for harvesters and factories....not mini-storage units....Current storage caps are absolutely absurd.

"This house has too many items in it..." followed by a few four letter words from player. ;-)
