I have seen people make aquariums, terrariums, fireplaces, etc. using the "drop it on the stairs" method. However, with the new vertical movement commands in houses, it opens up a whole bunch of ideas for the "other" rooms where you could move items vertically before.

I thought it would be interesting to post either ideas or pictures of creative things you have done with the new movement commands. At the very least, it might inspire a thought about other things you can do. Please list the idea/concept and the items you used to create it. Since I started this thread, I will put up one that I tried. It looked nice, but I ended up taking it down because the item count in my house is getting near the limit, and I wanted to save it for other items.

Not sure if this is new or not, but I made a four-post canopy bed.

Items:

Large bed

Reinforced combat staffs

Weapon barrels

Wrapped Skirts

I dropped two staffs on the same spotat each of the corners of the bed and moved one of them up to make a large pole. I found it handy to play with the height on the first one and keep track of the final number. That way when you get to the others, it eliminates the guess work and everything lines up nicely. Then I used the weapon barrels to make horizontal poles connecting the vertical ones. The you just drop the skirts, raise them the same height, and space them out evenly. I named all the "bars" as "Bedpole" and the skirts as "curtains."

Let's hear everyone's new creative ideas.

Hello, I am new to the Architect community.

Uhm.. I put (2) Krayt Pearls in the (2) eye sockets of my Polished Krayt Skull.

Not really all that inventive, but it looks cool, and Im happy to have discovered it myself.

Also.. if you have a crystal and a small candle you can drop the candle in the crystal so that the crystal looks like it is alive with energy.. I cant take credit for this one, tho.

My Holotron 5000. The knobs are all labelled as well if you put the cursor on them: Power, Channel and Volume.
I am so psyched with the new up/down stuff I can't wait to do more things! Here's some other stuff I've done:
Stove: renamed & turned around basic chest, rebel faction chest mounted above it for exhaust, table lamp sticking out of rebel chest for overhead light, unlocked container inside the stove chest so only the top shows.
Fridge: renamed & rotated basic armoire, metal staff down the middle to make "doors", grip powerups for door handles
I will post pics of these when I have a chance

Naboo table-top lamps, with their one flat side, are great for mounting on walls...in the grandroom of medium naboo, they look fabulous at the top of each column...give it a try...nice subdued light, and nothing in the way...

You can also make a "battlefield" with a lot of bookcases stacked on top of each other :-)
