The bug isn't gone..... You can still fix your vehicle in the way you described.....


But I agree with the sentiments entirely.

So much faulty logic. Where to begin?


The price of resources is not .3cpu. The price of resources is 2-3cpu. A single artisan that's only using their own lots to pull resourceswon't be making very many vehicles. A single heavy can only pull enough resources for two vehicles per day on an 85% spot. In order to supply the entire galaxy with new vehicles every week, the master artisans would need to start turning to resource suppliers.


The opportunity cost of the materials used to create those replacement vehicles would be immense. The fact that those millions of resources are now being used in vehicles instead of armor, weapons, harvesters, and any number of other goods would raise the prices of those other goods due to scarcity.


So what you want to propose is a resource sink instead of a credit sink? What a horrible idea. Money is easy to come by. Resources are not.

BTW, I have and use all three types of vehicles. Yes, after 1-2 hours of running around on the swoop, it needs 2-3K of repair work. However, the X34 can run and run and run without needing much repair at all. They said that the swoop was less durable than the others. If you want to go fast, you pay for it. It's an easy tradeoff to make. Personally, I think that 2K a day for the ability to run my harvesters as fast as I do is chump change.

My bad, yes the trick still works.



And I don't know what planet you're on, but when I divide the amount or resources by the amount of money (and power) I put into my harvesters, the most I end up paying for a unit of resource is 0.3 credits.


Yes, everyone charges 2-3 cpu....and now most are charging 5-6cpu since the max amount to charge when up on the bazaar.

You only ever use your personally harvested resources? You must have a mighty small business. I couldn't run my business with just my own lots.


Obviously you're a small time player, if you're buying resources on the bazaar. Try going through large shops and buying them 500K at a time.

I got those as well, but I mostly use my bike, funny thing with stumpy and lumpy (my pets), I have had them for months, used them a fair bit, but every time I try to feed them I am told they are not hungry, so they are FREE to run, is this how it is supposed to be or are they bugged ?

Don't really know where to post this to get the devs to read, so I'll try here since I'm a Master Artisan and Master Architect.


Since the beginning of the vehicles, we were able to "fix" our vehicles by "exiting" the vehicle near a shuttle or starport and leaving that city via shuttle or starship, "storing" our vehicle at our arrival point to find them fully generated for the mere cost of a a travel ticket....usually as a matter of convenince since we were traveling anyway. Well, now that garages are available to player cities, this "bug" is gone. And I say good ridence because it was not like real life.


However, GARAGES SUCK! Why? If you add up the ACTUAL cost of making a swoop (le'ts say about 0.3 credits per unit of material harvested...plus power to run the harvesters) a swoop requiring 8,000 units of material costs about 2,400 credits to make. I was selling swoops for 24K (much lower than my fellow artisans). If you drive a swoop everywhere you go (and who really "runs" anymore?) you'll end up spending about 6,000 to 10,000 in maintenance per week (and this estimate is low for those of us who manage harvesters all over the galaxy).


Putting gas in my car, getting the oil serviced every 5,000 miles AND an occasional 50K-100K tune-up costs me, on average, $225 per month. This is less than 0.1% of the cost of my car. In SWG, we're paying anywhere between 50% (for those who still use mounts to get around) to 200% (for master artisans like myself who manages many harvesters) of the cost of the swoop. I mean, really......is this rediculous or what?


AND ANOTHER THING....I would gladly pay this extortion IF the money would go into the city treasury. But it doesn't...it disappears like the money you pay to NPC trainers (but that's another gripe for a different time).


My solution.....make or buy a garage for your city so you can say you have one. Then run that swoop (or your other favoritevehicle)into the ground, destory it and make or buy another.This willcost you much lessthan paying the "repair" on that vehicle. I made a garage for my city, but I'm not gonna use it because it costs too much.

Feeding pets is only necessary if they have HAM wounds or if they ask you for food. If you don't fight with your pets you wont need to feed them, ever.

Heh I never use garages and I'm usually in quite a rush to get a shuttle so near always have to leave my bike out *cough* and at the other end I get my bike out and whadya it's fully fixed. Supprises me every time

And to my pet .. I've had it since 2 days after patch relase for mounts and it's good for getting me extra XP while grouped in city's

Don't know why you are complaining. This should make your sales go through the roof. Put a merchant tent next to the garage and advertise that your vehicles are cheaper than repairing.
