Thread: House storage error

Nope, you're not going crazy. I have had this happen at least twice lately.

For some reason, if you keep a lot of stuff in bags, the inventory counter gets screwed up, then when you do something that changes the house inventory directly (such as picking up a piece of furniture) the system will "catch-up" with what you have.

I was changing out one of my crafting stations after I finally managed to get to 40+ and ran into this error. Took some scrambling to get everything picked up and moved around.

*edit - changed Your to you're since I'm a stickler for the correct usage of you, your, you're, to, too and two.*

I have hardly changed my storage for weeks, added one or two here and there, dropped thing, picked em up that kind of thing. Are you saying that means I have had over the limit for weeks and the system has only just now recognised it?

If so do you know if it goes away again, or do I have to start picking things up and storing them somewhere else now? because I simply do not have space for 50+ extra items

Has this happened to anybody else ? I logged on, picked up a couple of items offered to my vendor, put some harvesters on the vendor and went down to the basement. I tried to drop a block of ore into one of my containers and got the message 'This house has too many items' followed by 'Unknown container movement error' (or something close to that). I thought it strange because a couple of days before I still had space for over 50 items. When I checked the house control panel It read 205 items in the house.

Now, I have a medium Naboo house, the storage limit is 150, so how did the contents get above that ? Apart from resources in bags and containers the only other place I have items in my house is on the vendors, did they change something here ? I am baffled.

This happened to me also, couldn't do anything except place another house, pick stuff up and spend a few hours moving things from house to house to deposit box and back again! Nightmare!

Hey, you have a problem with backpacks not allowing you to open them in the house also? I am.... ended up having to move the item to the middle of the room in order to pick it up!!!

If you dropped stuffs in the house while having packetloss, itcould be removed from your inventory

before checking with capacity of your house. Or the amounts being transfered to your house was missing

due to the loss.

So many possible sollutions

Target one item, then move it back using the /move back 50 (for example) command. Keep doing this until you can pick it up.

You may have to enter the name of the object as well

/move objname forward 50

The other day I was trying to check the status of my house, got the radial dial up clicked status, and got "Cannot view object" msg. Went back to radial and went thru each option with the same result. I was trying to check the status, because a few day earlier the count showed 10 more items than I had. Eventually pulled the hosue up and dropped another one, just wrote that one off as being bugged somehow.
