Thread: New building for a Store?

Would it really be so hard for the Devs to put a crafted building designed to be a "Store"? Has anyone heard about this? It kinda sucks to have to use houses for shops.

Merchant tents?

Tents are pretty tough to use as "showrooms" though (e.g. for clothes, droids, furniture...).


The Medium Generic Style 2 and the Medium Naboo seem like the best store options. (I also like the Small Generic 2A.)

maybe we arnt all bedoquins and want to use those medieval tents.....


there should be more options in structures....we really need an open 2 room and one room structure floorplan...


they could be multipurpose and serve a house or store or warehouse


this would also help player cities..they could evolve easily identifiable commerce/residentual areas...


the art already exists for several structures,,,


players should have another option other than a tent

I would like to see more options for building, not just for business but for personal use as well. Perhaps in time they will add more structure types for housing.I would also likemore than a 250 limit on items for a large house. We have our wishlist items I suppose

The small round and circular houses are great for stores, and PA's when availiable are great for big mall stores. Tents are avaliable also, but I forget which level merchant you need to reach before you can place one.

We use PA Hall as huge Malls. With a very nice crafting basement, prime equipment

I find that the medium Tatooine floorplan lends itself nicely to duty as a shop.






Master Tailor/Dancer/Politician with 52 skill points left over....any suggestions?

The storecouldbe a civic structure that a politician could place. It would have counters, spots for vendors, hell they could even make a new vendor shaped like a guy behind a cash register! It would be a great idea!

On another topic, they should have some new floorplans put in, and hire a real architect or Feng Shui consultant or something to advise them on how to make a house that doesn't suck. For example, if 50% of the house is one big winding hallway that doubles back on itself, your house sucks.

Tents have their place I suppose, but come on...this is Star Wars. They have all the coding in for structures. Just move some walls around, change the skins, add counters like in the Cantina...etc....


Besides, like others have said, its hard to showcase Tailor, BE, DE, WS, AS, or even Chef products ina little tent AND have room for vendors. I wonder what would have been more useful: New dancer animations and smoke, or more structure types? Oh well.
