Thread: 20 AP points for Building IV???
Uhh hello? You don't see what's wrong here?
why should a skill that's easier to achieve yield more apprentice points to teach?
Shouldn't you receive more for a higher level skill?
It works for the regular professions but not the elite ones.
who cares? even if it was the other way around you would still end up with teaching the same amount of AP.
maybe someone would be more willing to teach someone a level 1 skill if they get more AP for it. I dont have a problem with a 10:1 ratio of these skill points. all starter professions go 2-3-4-5 and 6 for master elite ones go 5-4-3-2 and 1 ofr master. doesnt bother me in the slightest, i maxe out my AP a long lon time ago.
the whole idea of AP is bad anyway. I really dont see why it is still ingame, sure it was a good idea if it worked how it should, but it is not working how it should, people are paying for players to be trained. I sure as hell didnt get paid money for attending college or uni. a few K for NPC training is nothing anyway, its like 2 minutes work.
AP should be removed from the game, what to jedi use to advance in skills? they just auto get put into the next skill box? that will do for us normal folk too
The system works so that you get 10 AP per skill point that the skill costs. This means that in basic professions, where SP costs go up as you climb the tree, so do the amount of AP you get, but in advanced professions the SP go down, so you also get fewer AP for teaching the skills.
I do agree that it would be nice if they raised the AP awards for the advanced professions, since it's generally harder to find both teachers and students for them.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Shouldn't you receive more for a higher level skill? You would think so but the dev's weren't allowed to use their brains. Or it was easier to base the app points off of the cost to get the skill.
It works for the regular professions but not the elite ones. Nothing different for basic professions, it just appears to be so, since the elite profession skills cost less points as you progress, and the basic cost more.
That's what I'm trying to say, the system needs to be fixed. Again, not broken. Works as designed. (My favorite saying in the coding business.)
So, by that right if you teach someone Master Architect, you earn 10 apprentice points.
Seriously, you're ok with that???
Opps my bad. I guess I wrote this wrong
I hate this system it is stupid.
there.. no point made i don't care,
just wanted to know if anyone else hated it too.

It actually makes great sense. There are a lot of people that do the uber leet char template by dabbling a bit here and there. Can you imagine of the advance professions cost little in skill point use to achieve the few useful skills lower in the trees. It would be a bit too crazy. People have already worked out some over powered templates as is.
Personally I like it. You can teach for 50 ap points a basic skill in a profession, say merchant, that gets cheap exp over and over. It makes getting exp easier, not harder.
