Ok, I know this doesn't apply to just architects, but I couldn't find a forum where i could post this idea.

I have an idea that I think would really help SWG players keep interest and add a new way to make some money for players and player cities and a new way to enjoy the game. What if architects could build arena like structures that could house battles. At least I think there would have to be three types of arenas: Guns vs. Guns, Melee vs. Melee and a mix of both. Faction battles would be an option, but not requirement for sides. Then have three sizes of arenas: small, medium, and large. Being able to make larger arenas would require not only a larger city, but battles would have to take place more frequently and have more attendance in a larger ones than smaller. It would work by charging a fee to come in and watch the fights; this money would go to the city and the amount would be decided by the owner. Fighters would pay an entrance fee and the winner or winning team would collect the money from that. There would also be an npc that would take bets from spectators that would allow players to have a chance to earn some credits and bet on their favorite fighter(s). You could also have the owner be able to place a diverse amount of obstacles made by an architect to customize the arena. I think this would ve a great idea because it would bring players together, it would bring order to pvp, it would give combat professions more incentive to master it other than just doing missions, it would give the city a unique feel with the different styles of arenas, and would help keep the interest of players. And now for those of you that say, "Well that's a good idea, but it's just not Star Wars at all." I have an answer for that too. What about the arena in Episode II, that was in Star Wars.

An arena where people can pvp.... what a novel idea. Maybe PC cities can be no-fighting zones too, and the only place to do pvp would be in the arena. Also I think it'd be a great if you could get titles from arena pvp, like if your have say 10 wins more than losses in arena fights you get a title like novice that shows up in front of your name. The next title could be freshman, then apprentice and go all the way up to ace. This would reward players with a pvp template by giving them something to gauge how good their char is set up.
