I've been watching this for a little while but I've noticed that my crates of lights are not decaying on vendors anymore.
I have not actually pulled a crate and taken all the lights out of it to see if the final light is still lit, but the timer on the crate isn't counting down anymore.
I'm certainly not complaining, but I'm wondering when this changed.
Has anybody else noticed this?

I tested this with crates I had on my vendor andI only sell them in crates so the lights dont burn out before someone buys them. So yeah once you pull them from the crates they have their full life. The crates stopped counting down on my vendor as well.

The strange thing I've heard from 2 customers now, is that when they buy a crate of 5 lamps (or candles, whatever), sometimes 1 of those 5 is burnt out. I have never seen this myself, but I've seen stranger things happening in this game, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is some weird bug.

The fact that the LAST light in the crate is burnt out is not a new thing. It's been around since lights were added to the game. However, on the vendor you could see that the lifespan of the crate had counted down to zero.
I'm not seeing that zero countdown anymore.

Ah ok, so it's a very old bug. Hmm, I never had any complaints before. And no, I don't see a decrease in lifespan on my vendors too, so that seems to work.

Yeah, that happens to me with every crate. Not necessarily the last one in crate, but I always find a burnt out one.

when i get lights from a creat if there not working i just pick them up and put them down again untill they come on again, it works for me usually, or are you on about them saying "burnt out" when examineing them?

Ok, this bug is still here.
Here is the bug report I submitted:
As you know, lights have a decay rate.
When the light is sitting around, the timer counts down.
However, when the light is stored on a vendor, the timer stops.
However, when the light is stored on a vendor, the timer stops.
When a CRATE of lights is placed on the vendor, the countdown on the FINAL light pulled from the crate has continued to count down but all the OTHER lights in the crate are still at their original time.
Previously, examining a crate of lights on a vendor would show the count ticking down.
Now the count does not tick down but as soon as you take the crate off the vendor the timer immediately ticks off (usually to zero) and the FINAL light pulled from the crate is burnt out.
Example:
Crate of lights (10) is produced and put on a vendor.
The lights have a 28 day countdown.
The lights sit on the vendor for 30 days.
Examining the crate at any time shows the timer has 28 days remaining.
Take the lights off sale and into the stockroom.
The crate still shows 28 days.
Take the crate from the stockroom into your inventory and the crate shows 0 days.
Remove 9 lights from the crate and each one will have 28 days.
The 10th and final light when pulled will show "burnt out"
