Thread: Just curious, don't bite please.
I'm not asking about prices in general or complaining per se... Just out of curiousity-- I checked the schematics on all of the large houses from Planet-specific to generic. They all use the exact same resources. So why would you charge more for a Naboo or Generic style house when they are exactly the same house schematic-wise??
Just trying to understand the logic here. ![]()
Are you sure about that? Most generic houses use 10-20% more ressources (either 2-3 more blocks, or 2-3 more walls)
For example, a Generic PA hall takes 2 more walls (that's 6k ressources) more. Im not sure on the specifics but Im sure the same applies for houses. The other thing with Generic houses is you never need to replace them ever, where as if someone (on an off chance) decides to move between planets, at least architects get repeat business. One of the main concerns in the architect business is that it will eventually dry up, and generic houses just make it worse.
So there you have it =)
I checked the schematics and they are EXACTLY the same. They require no more work, no more resources, nothing extra whatsoever.
For ANY large house:
Total Resources Needed:
Aluminum x 500
Armophous Gemstone x 2
Carbonate x 530
Chemical x 50
Copper x 254
Inert Gas x 7
Low-Grade Ore x 25028
Metal x 9926
Non-Ferrous Metal x 400
Polymer x 8
Reactive Gas x 200
Steel x 229
Ive not checked them all but Small Generic Style 2 uses more structure sections than others (12 v 10)
I charge more for Generic because it can be redeeded and used anywhere....like anyone who sells a procuct that never runs out such as....err...well...err....someone anyway....I charge more because quite simply, you only buy one house (generally) and even if you do later buy a bigger one you can sell the original and become my competitor !!!!
Make sales of various things require merchant certification to trade....argg...shutup me !
