I made all the subcomponents in a factory. Now, when I use the subcomponents to make the crafting station cshematic for use i nthe factory, it doesn't list the serial numbers if the subcomponents and the factory will not pull them out of the crates. Do I have to manually hand feed all the subcomponents to the factory?

Right now the only factory that does not pull from crates is structure factory. Yes, crafting stations can be made in the factory and all components have to be taken out of crates and loaded manually.

Good luck =)

ACK and I had planned on making 200 of these high end stations too

OUCH, oh well, I am nto going to sit there and create them all by hand and crit fail and experimentation fail, etc. Guess I'll have to hand feed it.

Thanks.

It's the same problem that prevents wall modules from being factory made from crates. As best I can tell any factory schematic that has a slot requiring components without requiring those components to be a specific serial number will not pull from crates. I don't think the factory type matters. There's only a few items where making a schematic won't require specific serial numbers which is why only a few items have this problem.

Yea, after it shut down with zero items made, I looked at the schematic and instead of the serial numbers, there was this square character. At first I thought it was a messed up schematic because I pulled the items from the crate using the new dbl-click on crate to fill the slots method so, I redid it and same thing.

The problem seems to start with the schematic because when you create it, it doesn't show the serial numbers on it like others do.

So, I am wondering if this is a factory problem or a factory schematic problem.

In other words, when I made the crafting stations from factory made subcomponents, there were no serial numbers on the schematics to begin with.

When I made the micro sensor suites from factory made subcomponents, it had the serial numbers on it.

So, is it the factory or the schematics that's the problem?

I think that square is like a wildcard. like the *

So it means like... Control Unit any serial

Yep and that's the problem. Schematics made to go in factories should NOT have a wildcard, they should contain the serial numbers of the parts used.
