I generally keep enough parts on hand to build up to 5 of any item i'm asked for (with the possible exception of PA halls).

the only thing I don't run off in my factories now are walls, furniture and final assemblies. all other parts i do large factory runs and have the parts ready to go.

Total agree. Also, never make the part until they come to pick it up. Too many times have i had the /tell thats says "oh nevermind i found it cheaper" or "nvm i found it closer". I hate will people shop me, they do not realize what goes into this profession.

When people ask me what i think about them going into architect i say this..."As of today, there is too much price gaughing, low demand, low turnover, no decay and no reason short of new players demanding houses to get into it."

Currently I have somewhere in the range of 1 million various metals and 500k ore. I eat up the ore faster heh.

I keep about 5-50 of every sub component on hand so I can make any item in short notice. It's for this reason that I also ask a little bit higher prices than some of the other architects in the field.

So far, the comfort zone i've found is to have 3-400k ore, at least 100k of each metal, and 50k fiberplast stocked. For the components, Usually I'll have 10-15 of each at least. More if I happen to hit a sweet spot while experimenting But the best thing i've found so far is to have deeds pre made. Easy to say, hard to do when you're workin yer tail off gathering the resources. But like anything these days, in game or real life, people want it NOW. Best way to accomodate the customer base and keep em comin back is to have pre made IMHO.

Hi,

I have been a master architect for about a month now and have found that keep a good stock pile of resources and parts were the only way forward. Customers come in with orders of 5 Heavies and etc are normally fairly demanding ones and therefore do not want to wait.

I normally have a few (3-4 crates) of all parts, like pumps and harvesting units as well as a few more of generator turbines. Ore of course is a must (300K) and other minerials (100K).

How much do you guys hold?

Well, having been a master for all of 72 hours now, I have squat on hand. That said, I don't plan on selling anything more than furniture and small deeds until I have a stockpile like you have described. I don't want to get into the jam of having orders I can't fill. I'm close to that as it is, even without doing larger deeds!

I've been Master Architect for a number of months now. I use up all my ore daily, have 10-20 each of identical mining/harvesting/turbine components available, 50ish identicalstructural storage modules, and about 100k metal available. I've never had a problem delivering on orders asap.

In view of the patch, which might well make all our existingcomponents useless, what might your plans for youexisting stock levels of both parts and finished units? Big Sale or just hang on to everything?

I master Architect in the beginning of July, I think I was probably the 6 or 7th Master Architect on Tatooine at the time. Since then I've trained so many people to master it isn't funny but to be honest I have trouble keeping my resources in stock. The only thing I do keep a good stock of is master furniture resources since I like to take decorating jobs a lot. Sadly I'm going to wind up retiring soon after my city is up and going and purse the FS slot maybe I'll come back afterwards.

I have about 2M ore and prolly about 1.5M metals/gases/chems on hand in my shop. 600k of the ore i wont use due to the fact of it being VERY nice ore and about 500k of my metal is very nice metal as well.

i keep two structure factories brimming with parts.. i dont make walls in factories just cuz i cba to pick out all those struc mods by hand :/ wish its worked.. but i keep about 2k struc mods on hand about 200 small structures.. 100 turbines..

recently i have been producing the ore mining units and fluid drilling pumps on a demand only basis since i assume that will be the new parts we will experiment on and i dont want a huge stock of them lying around..

the only pain is making the walls for the order, altho with stuff popping straight out of crates into the schematic its gotten much better now only if i could make the factory pull struc mods out :/

I quit mining and have 2 dedicated miners.. one devotes her 20 heavies to ore for me and the other devotes his 10 heavies to metals i go throw down gas/chem harvesters down every so often when i get low.

it took me quite a while to build up this stock, i remember when i struggled to get enough materials to make a factory.. but now i can throw anything together in the time it takes to put the walls togehter from my crates of struc mods
