Thread: Item decay on Inca/Death.
Hi guys,
Can someone tell me why SOE keeps throwing credits at the Weapon smith/Armor smith profession? This item decay test on TC is going to do nothing for anyone but dump even larger piles of money on these two classes while hurting the rest of the crafting community. An example......Bob has been out running missions for 3 days straight and has accumulated a sizable amount of cash. Bob thinks...man, it sure would be cool to have one of those big houses and a nifty droid too. I have all this money why not... Then Bob looks at his equipment and realises he died or was incaped quite a bit during those 3 days of missions. As a matter of fact, his weapons and armor are in really bad shape.
Bob does not infact buy that fancy house and droid, he instead goes and buys new armor and weapons because his are so beat up from use and incap/death.
Fixing Architect experimentation after well, too many months was nice of them but lets face it. ITS A FIX, it should have been in game from the beginning. Its a tiny little bone thrown our way to keep us quiet while they are busy throwing HUGE piles of money on weaponsmiths and armorsmiths. Ithink that there are quite a few Dev's playing these classes and I'm sure any Devs that were playing Architect have since bailed or only play for testing purposes.
The decay on incap/death should not go live, it will NOT balance a **edit** thing including the economy. All it will do is imbalance it even further buy shifting even larger amounts of money to a small group. I have been an architect from the beginning and I loved it. I have kept my skills thus far but if this goes live I will no longer offer my services as an architect and will instead become a resource supplier to weaponsmiths (the true money machine).

Actually Dayln only 40% of respondants voted for decay. But I have placed a complaint on our part relating to the fact that we don't have decay, yet weaponsmiths and armorsmiths get the economic boost.
Rest assure the devs have been made aware of the issue.
Thank you Angel,
That was really my beef. I many not have explained or been very clear on that but you basicly hit the nail on the head.
