I just had an idea that I think may solve some of the Architects losing money on no resales.
How about this...
As a person pays maintenance on their house purchased from a specific Architect, that Architect recieves a small percentage of that maintenance. This will continue to give the said crafter money for their efforts and perhaps eliminate the problem with no house decay (which I think is a bad idea). The maintenance cost doesn't get raised, the Architect just recieves a small profit from paid maintenance...
Your thoughts please...
(I posted this on the SWG discussion forum as well)

sounds like a good idea, more the architect works the more he gets. It would sure get me off my butt and making houses, then again it would also make me lower all my prices trying to sell them
and that is a bad thing.

This idea was proposed ages ago, and was beaten down using the following excuse:
A person could sell a ton of harvesters really cheap, just to get them out and being used...
They would then drop architect all together, and still collect the maintenance money.
In any case, I'd be more of a fan of the "maintenance kit" idea... Where a person could either pay credits, or use a "maintenance kit" to add to the maintenance fund, or perhaps the kit could instead decrease the maintenance required for a certain amount of time(depending on experimentation)
