Thread: Medium Naboo Homes

I understand why they changed the way these homes are dropped. No more walls, no more "keeping people out". But you can't even drop these in unison with each other. To make them face each other you have to off set them. Plus why would you want to drop a Medium Naboo home, which takes up a LOT of room, when a Small Naboo homes uses the same amount of lots and holds the same amount of items?

medium generic houses still work like a wall. The small does use same amount of lots and stores same amount of items, but a medium has more space to decorate with or hold vendors.

In our new city we're only using Naboo homes. So we won't drop any Generic homes. But I was under the impression that Medium Naboos took 2 lots, and held 200 items. I know for a fact that the Small Naboo (style 1)homes also take 2 lots, and hold 200 items.

Also, why make the Medium Naboos drop so different? Why not make them drop the same way that the Generics drop? Do it so they have SOME space in between them for people to drive through, but also make it so you can drop them in front of each other and look decent.

As a customer (not yet an architect, hoping to start soon on another character), I love the Medium Naboo house. A little more storage would be useful, but I don't want to use up more lots (5 is too much!) and it definitely offers a lot more room for decorating than the small homes, even if they have the same amount of storage. In my case, my Naboo home is my "country" home so the footprint doesn't really matter to me, my nearest neighbor is at least 500m away.

There is a market and desire for these, even if it's somewhat smaller than for other types of housing.

The thing that torques my gourd about the medium naboo's is that Thunderheart once stated in the forums that it was find to line them up in streets. The problem was the idiots that used them to surround faction bases and choke exit points to facilitate ease of slaughterage in pvp battles.

Since the only PVP I see anymore is Jedi stuff, this is kind of a moot point really. That and the fact that if you hit a 'wall' (pfft) of mediums, you just angled along them to the nearest join whilst continuing to run and you could travel 'through' the house. Heck, they even put in a patch back when vehicles were newish to prevent rubberbanding after you did exactly that on a swoop etc.

As far as I see, they are making it harder for players who enjoy planning cities etc for the 0.005% of pvp'ers left not afk grinding on Kashyyyk and running contrary to explicitly permitted policies earlier in the game for very! little reward.

medium naboo homes place in the same footprint as a large now. It adds a big space in between houses to drive thru.If you dont like it like 99% of my customers.. dont use them. I no longer stock them and stock generics instead that sell very well.

While a small house may have the same amount of storage slots, it does not have the same amount of physical space. 200 items spreads out a lot better in a medium house than it does in a small one.

I have an asteroid chunk placed with a fountain and partially covered with 4 types of plants, a few candles, a few bones, and a few other goodies (probably read the idea on here...). I've had a few people comment favorably on it. (if I was into interior design, what a kick ass showroom!) That asteroid chunk wouldn't fit into any room in a small house...

Why do people pay to play a MMORPG but not want to interact with other people?
Why, SOELA, why? Did the entire management join a cult, and at the same time perform home lobotomies?

The problem is in Several other forums. We need the coorespondants to make this an Issue and get it in a single thread we can all get together on. The house went from 3x4 to 5x6, which is just rediculos as it has been said it is to bring them in line with the Tatooine medium, WE ARE NOT ON TATOOINE. I would have been ok with 4x4, adds room to the side and would still allow them to be back to back and no wall.

I no longer sell Medium Naboo houses because of this. Mayors will not work with them.

PLEASE PUT THIS IN THE ISSUES LIST !!!!!

THis is not an architect issue IMHO.

This is a city planning issue. I think it should go to the politician forum.

Pawlin,

This is an Architect Issue, if you are an Arch on Naboo. I have gotten Khristen to add to the issues for Poli, but due to the fact that Mayors on Naboo no longer want to work with them in the city layout, I can no longer sell them.
