I CANT EVER HAVE WALL Modules, I will put 100k stacks of resources into a factory to make structure modules and the next day have roughly 500, then I put the 500 in with more resources to make 50 wall modules...... and i need to make alot to sell, and I want to make harvesters, so thats 7 harvesters for two days time, one for the structure modules, then one for the wall modules and that dosent count the time for all the other sub components. My other Proff is SW so im not used to factories and I am used to large resource usage but these sub-components and sub-sub-components are killing me.

Please Help me I am on my last nerve here

Yeah, that is a pretty fair description of the architect profession. IT takes about 25k of resources and 1.5 hours solid factory time to make a single heavy.

ONly solution... more ore, more metal, more factories.

Yeah this profession is very resource intensive. Incidentally this is why we gripe about how unfair it is that most other professions use significantly less resources, yet their products are valued more. People don't quibble about million credit weapons, but if you try to tack on a few $10k to a harvester or house, they throw a hissy fit.

Btw, it isn't any harder to collect resources as a weaponsmith than it is for just about every other profession except BE. Hell, I have a crapload of weaponsmith resources.

I did a calculation a while back for Armorsmith. Pre-CU it took 6 Factory days to make one suit of Comp. At one point I had 8 factories going. I know architect takes a ton of resources but it is nothing line the time wasted making armor. lol

You mean 6 factory days to do all the different runs? So 1000 suits?

It can't take 6 days factory time just to make 1 suit.

When I say it takes 1.5 hours to make 1 heavy thats just to make the number of sub parts for 1 heavy.

i think kurso was meaning that the amount of components needed to make the end product was much steeper than the amount of products needed to make harvesters.

to make a heavy harvester needs a factory run for (1) small structure storage module (2) generator turbine (3) heavy ore mining unit (4) structural module (5) wall module making it just 5 factory runs before you can make the end product.

i dont know about armoursmith but i do know that for droid engineer you would be talking about upwards of 20-25 different runs before you could start the proper manufacture of high end droids (i could list them if i didnt have an undying urge to go drink beer).

admittedly architect (which i have been now for 780 days) takes a massive amount of resources and is a killer to start with.

Well the original poster was talking about the high resource requirements rather than the time requirements.

Btw are composite final assemblies still base complexity 15? Heavy harvesters have base complexity 35.

To make a standard set of armour you need segments then core's then final combine. I think it's 4 segments for a core and 11 cores for a full suit. I forget the time for each item but to make 1 suit in a factory at say 5 mins a part, thats being generous thats 6 hours and 25 mins per suit. I can't remember the exact figures as I've dropped my AS.

post-CU composite suit excluding gloves and boots:

9 pieces of armor 15 complexity = 135

9 fiberplast 5 complex = 45

9 RFP 15 complex = 135

11 Advanced assault core 23 complex = 253

33 assault segments 21 complex = 693

==

1263 x 8sec = 10104 sec

= 2.8 hours

If they add fancy layers it will take longer.

I don't know the pre-CU numbers. But I am very sure that one of the major Armorsmith complaints about the CU changes was that their factory time would increase.
