I have been on hiatus for many months, and have just started playing again. I have Artisan 4, 0, 0, 4 and am a master Architect. I stand right next to a Public Crafting Station and am using a Weapon, Droid and Generic Item Crafting tool (yes, I am standing next to the correct crafting station as well), but am unable to experiment with even the simplest designs. Can anyone assist me? Thank you.

Be sure that your crafting tool matches the crafting station.

If you're using a structure & furniture crafting tool, you have to stand at a structure & furniture crafting station.

Also, be sure that what you're trying to craft can be experimented on.

Can CraftingKits be experimented on?

You mean crafting tools?

Generic crafting tools can't be experimented on.

You can't use a generic crafting tool to experiment on anything, either.

You also have to have the crafting station targetted.

No, you don't.

You just have to be near it.
