Hi all
I am putting together a room in a small generic house.. very white walls atm
I need them to be a lot darker, as I have some great stuff to display which would benefit from 'showing up' a little more than they do..
Can you guys/ gals recommend some furniture or other which i can turn round.. like a toolchest.. which would be darkand flat on the back?
I know it will make the room smaller.. but itis only a glorified display cabinet anyway.
Thanks in advance!

Wall modules, good idea, but at around 6-7k a pop on resources that could be expensive. I wonder how big structural modules are when you drop them? I have never tried that....on the schematic they look like 'breeze-blocks' which could make for an interesting effect, but if they are quite small they would take up a lot of the storage capacity of your house.

The wall or structure modules might work, would take you more than one of each. The tool chests, there are two types, have a textured look to them. You can take any type of furniture really and stack it into items like cabinets, tanks, fireplaces, display cases etc. I personally like the tan/advanced furniture. You get a lot of end tables and stack/line them up into the item you want.
If you aren't good at decorating there are people who you can hire to do this. I'd suggest just making a post on your galaxy forum and asking who can decorate. They do charge for time/resources/skill though.

Hmm.. wall modules, eh? Never seen them before. Anywhere I can have a preview?
Price is not a problem, and I only need to fill two walls with them.. Any idea of size and how many it would take to give me the dark canvass I need?
Thanks for the advice, btw

I've seen people turn the "style two" bookcase backwards for display purpose in generic houses, makes an interesting display rack if you ask me.

check these out:
Structural module : http://swg.allakhazam.com/db/abilities.html?swgability=627
unfortunately, the only way I know to check out the size is to get them and drop them in the room, and I am not ig right now to try it.

Structure mods are about 70 units tall (meaning moving something dropped at ground level up 70 units would put it right on top ish). They are *medium grey*. They are, however, quite thick compared to wall mods.

The fireplace walls there are made using brown armoires turnned around.

The objects above the range are structure mods. The dividers, I believe, are wall mods.
The fireplace was done by me, the firing range was not.

I'm amused by the fact that it takes 10 huge structural mods to make one tiny wall.
Then again, I've got something called "crystalline clothing treatment" in a 4-foot tall spray bottle sitting in my back room.

Another good way to make darker walls is to make toolchests.
And turn them around so that you only see the back of them.
Nice textrure and you can make it look pretty seamless.
Toolchests or Steel Bookcases work well.

The grey, cheap bookcases work great. I've used it 2 ways to make the room darker;
1. I used 4, 2 beside each other and 2 stacked on top, to give the wall a bit of a library look to it.
2. Second way is turn the bookcases backward and make a wall with them stacked together. They are big - they are a tall - and they are cheap to make.

I use the square grey bookshelves as walls alot. Just turn it so the openings are facing the actual wall. Or if you want to build awall seperate from an existing wall...take two bookshelves, face them in so the openings are facing eachother, push them together so they overlap, and you have a wall.
