In game I'm a Bounty Hunter ( see sig )
In RL I'm an Architect
I have never posted in this fourm before
I would love to see WINDOWS in the houses we call "home".
So I can look out
at the lake from my lounge! and see whos at the front dorr trying to get in ( RP )
It would't be that hard to do. The Dev's have recently introduced "mirror" textures into
the code for JTL, so my haxor friend tells me, so "glass" texture would be a simple
progression from that!
BTW I'm stoked for all you architects with the new change for chest... to be able toa actually
hold items now! WOW
These are just my thoughts. Good Luck and take care.

I don't know even remotely whether that is possible or not, but it certainly would be nice.
I think some of the windows in the Theed Palace have a texture to them that makes it seem as if you're seeing out, but its not really seeing out..just the appearance of seeing something that could be out there.

As far as those mirror textures go, that might just be a trick. If you look closely at the floor in a lot of buildings in the current ground game you'll see what looks like a refelection of overhead lighting. However no matter where you go you see the same exact reflection. So its not really an actual mirror effect, but just a image pasted over any reflective surface that looks like its a real reflection.
However, windows would be cool. They can do doorways so I think they could do windows about the same way at least, they'd just look like a hole in the wall. Would be good enough I think.

Yeah - if you really really close up to a shuttle droid, you can see the reflection of streetlamps and buildings on his shiny surface. I can't tell you how long I looked and angled my mouse cam to try to see me! Duh! LMAO

The new "mirror" textures ar for the Royal Naboo Yaught Starships ( the Chromed out ones ) I think.

I don't care about being able to see out of them but please let them allow light through when it is daytime. Our houses are always dark no matter what time of day it is.

I don't think windows are likely, too many polygons able to be drawn at the same time.

*sigh*
Perhaps you should contact your friendly neighborhood architect, I bet they'll have a solution for you!

Cool idea
I certainly know I love the Large Tat House Window, outside ones would rock.
