This has probably been asked before but what exactly dose it mean by similar compnents? That they need to use the same resources but don't need to be factory made? I built my first house today and had to make the 10 modules needed with an ore that I couldn't find any more then the 2k needed for the modules. I was worried that I would get a Critical on one and have to start over with another ore.

similar means only that they are all the same thing, i.e. structure modules. they don't ahve to be made from the same thing.

Identical means made from a factory using a factory schematic.

basically, identical must have same serial #, similar doesn't require that.

Devs should just take "Similar" out since it means absolutely nothing and just causes people to wonder what the heck it means all the time.
