A structural module takes 200 ore and 50 metal.

It takes 10 structural modules, plus 200 ore and 100 metal to make 1 wall module.

It takes 10 wall modules for 1 small house.

That's 22k in ore alone and 1.5k metal, and we're not even on the other components needed.

180 metal, 60 ore, and 18 chem to make the power core.

50 steel and 80 metal for the storage module.

Add that into the final combine with 100 more metal, and 400 more ore.

If my math is correct, the total arrives at:

1860 misc metal

50 steel

18 chemical

22,460 ore

Which is a grand total of 24,388 total resources PER SMALL HOUSE DEED, and that's with no failures!

So.. Tell me HOW these architects are selling houses at 7-10k and staying profitable?

And tell me WHY I'm getting bitched at when I'm asking 20k for a 24k resource house, yet they want 5-10 credits per resource when they place them on the bazaar?

How does a solo architect stay both competitive and profitable?

Tell me WHY I should be an architect again?

Small houses don't take walls

small house is a total of 3388 resources if i remember correctly.

actually, a small house only takes 10 structure modules for planetary, 12 for 1 of the generic styles. thats structure modules, not wall modules for a total of 3,337 total resources for all but one of the smalls.

Think you got your sums abit mixed up there mate, its only 10 structure modules in a small house. Forget exactly how many resoruces it takes but its somewhere between 3 and 3.5k resources. Selling them for 7k is still a joke though

Whoa - let me check my schematics, I'm reading something wrong here..

I missed the small genaric which is 3,888 resources.

The one thing people should be asking for but never seem to is to bring the genaric deed resource totals in line with the others. Since it is hard for an architect to charge more for the genaricdeeds the person whois hurtis the architect when selling the genaric deed as compared to the planet specific deeds.
