Thread: News Flash ... Architects/Crafters go on Strike over Income Tax Hike ...
Greets ...
/note: Cross Posting in multiple forums
The Devs seem to be the most responsive when the *most* fuss is made from the most people.
I think that it is possible to virtually bring the economy to it's knees but it would take organization and dedication.
I purpose, if the vendor maintenance fees are added to the game in the manner described that we all stop *selling* stuff for 3 days.
If every Merchant, Arch and Weaponsmith went on a 3 day strike and did not sell anything, and told customers why, there would be such outpouring of rage that these forums would literally crash.
They would get hit from the sellers side ... PLUS hit from all the players that would buy stuff, that can't cause we won't sell and sell to them.
I know this sounds harsh, but the reality is that these 3 profession control the economy in the game and we have the power if only we wish to exercise it.
Please respond if you would be willing to do this for 3 days.
Hero out
I am not sure that is true, people held their breath until they turned blue over one of the best decisions ever made in an MMRPG...... No Phat Loot
Fortunatly the developers have not changed that much, it is still No Phat Loot no matter how much fuss they made.
And that is a good thing
I really dont think the devs are going to go with the proposed method of vendor fees. They were smart enough to ask are opinion and each and everyone of them said that it would destroy the economy and no one would use vendors.
100% agreed that the proposed plan is being inteligent and any thinking on the subject would show u this is not the answer. Out of that 90% said a sales tax on each item for when it is sold is a much better answer. It makes sense, it is fair, and everyone is happy.
If the proposed method does go through, than me and just about everyone will post generic items on a vendor for 1 credit renamed with prices for real items. Then people will e-mail us an order and we will sell are good that way tax and maintence free. THis willl make the game less fun for sellers and consumer because it is less productive and a hassle to do. The devs will be unhappy because their new money sink wont work cause no one uses the vendors any more. Everyone is unhappy, the devs arent this dumb (hopefully)
Daylin,
The lack of worthwhile loot is hardly a positive decision. Online games add to their longevity by using a robust andinteresting loot system. Long after people have gotten tired of crafting and grinding, they will still derive enjoyment from upgrading their possessions and finding usable loot. Not everyone who enjoys this is a d00d or a loot fiend. Some people just like the feel of treasure hunting for themselves, friends, or guildmates. I know it kept my interest from flagging in many online games I've played throughout my time.
