If this idea has been posted before I apologize. I am not an Architect nor do I ever want to be one, too much work. However while looking for information on factories and generators I came upon some of your "woes". One of which seems to be making money. So here is a suggestion that maybe your correspondent can look into.

"Have part of the Maintenance Fee go to the "Crafter" that made the structure. I would suggest 5% or more as your skill levels go up."

Thanks for your time.

I'm not an architect either, but there is still a problem with that idea... it doesn't solve the undercutting issue that people are having... because if this type of system was put into place you would probably see the undercutting become even worse. People would probably start selling structures way below cost, simply because they know that they will be making 5% of the maintenance on each structure for the rest of its exsistence.

start selling 40k structures for 20k, because you know that in a month or so you will have made the 20k back and all the money from then on is gravy.

all it would take is one architect to flood the system with ultra cheap structures to effectively create a self-sustained monopoly

I would litterally be giving Heavys away with this system. Yea it would take a while for me to get my money back but if just half my customers stay mining for 2+ months I have enough credits to last me a lifetime.
