Any harvesters that you had in deed form (either unplaced or on vendor) now hold a grand total of JACK ALL

I have heavy minerals that have storage capacity of 15-20k... my heavys that are placed in the field still hold 100k.. but EVERYTHING i have in deed form has DRASTICALLY lost storage capacity!

So are we just screwed, will they fix this, do i make myself new heavies to use during the 2 months it takes them to fix my old deeds?

Supposedly they never meant for this to go live. It could be a hotfix to revert to the way it was. However, many architects see this as a positive development and may petition to keep it this way.

It is a double edged sword. We are the ones who use the most resources and many of us have the largest fleets or extractors. This will hit us hard. However, if it lets master archs sell better extractors for higher prices than non-masters, it would benefit us in the long run.

Do we bite the bullet and take this big hit for 4-6 weeks to be better off 3 months from now?

Most probably SOE is going to revert back to the old system, because that is what they said they would do, and too many people will bitch if architects can actually affect the quality of the products they make and raise prices.

YEs, but i mean my PRE-PATCH harvesters that were in deed form LOST 80k capacity.. not new ones im making... these are old ones i had before this went live.. so they are basically now just piles of junk that cant even hold a days worth of harvest barely.

Everyone's harvesters are now complete junk... when you pick a heavy up that showed 100k capacity... it becomes 20k capacity...

Did you try planting one of the "ruined" heavy's and redeeding it?

The only reason I ask is, they screwed up so many things in this patch, that you may be able to "fix" it on your own.

I did make myself 2 heavy's today, and while they are not "good" they did come up better stat wise, than what I was able to make in the past, so currently made items do not have this problem.

Yes you are correct the old ones now show up with the correct info according to how they were made. If the people who sold them to you would have experimented on them you would be in hog heaven now because their stats would have gone up, along with the extraction rate. But since everyone thought they would never change it no one experimented on them. I do wish that there was a way to grandfather in the old ones but unless there is a timestamp on when an object is made I doubt they have the power to do this, so they will more than likely undo the patch that gives us archs a hope of building a better profession.

You just had bad luck picking the architect to buy from... Being a Master Architect myself, I've experimented all my previous builds in hopes they would fix this...Now, looking in my inventory I have Fusion Generators that can pull about twice as much as they used to and have over 400k hoppers... ^_^

All you have to do is look up an architect that doesn't shaft his customers and buy some top quality deeds (which you can see stats in the trade window by the way) before they decide to raise prices to where they should have been all along.

To answer the orginal post, if you look at this thread they state that they will have it fixed in a couple of days. But it does seem correct that experimentation is here to stay

I had 10 medium miners in my inventory. They all have extraction rate of eitehr 4 or 5 and their output hopper ranges from a whopping 5k-7k.......total crap

For crying out loud people...
READ THE FRIGGIN DEV POSTS

1. Harvesters that were in deed form during the patch were screwed up.

The devs know this, posted about it, and will fix it.

2. The double power complains seem to be a display bug only... someone adjusted the display to multiply the shown value by 2, cause they did the same to get maintenance to look right.

Again, the devs are aware of this, and are verifying it.

3. Harvester experimentation is working great. The only thing we are missing here is our missing +45 assembly and experimentation.(stuck at +55 if you recall)

Well, this experimentation point issue we can't seem to get the devs to notice... Best to concentrate your issues here.

4. Well, I can't think of a 4, but you get the idea.

Honestly, when I first heard about this on test I was completely against it. However, if the changes on live are what they had on test the by all means I hope they KEEP IT.

I've always experimented up my harvs and just lived with the crits. The first thing I did last night was to uproot all my harvs and check them. I was plesantly suprised by the results.

1: Almost all had at least 100,000 hopper size.
2: The ratings on my Heavy Mineral Harvs were at least 7-8.
3: While I haven't checked it yet by placing a fusion and looking at the extraction rate, all my fusions are rated 23-25+.
4: All of my harvesters were at least as good as prepatch.

All those dabbler Archs that only get 1 line just to make heavy harvs are now up **edit** creek without a paddle and those people who complained about my prices then went and bought one off them for 100k are too. At this I just have to laugh. I have several pleased customers who thanked me today for making quality products and I must say that revenge is sweet! Yes, I did crit on one or two while experimenting but most everything I've sold is at least still on par or above par of post patch specs.

I'm offically changing my camp, Devs please keep the harvester experimentation changes!

I can't help but do a dance. Experimentation FINALLY means something!!! I too have experimented on EVERYTHING I've built and I can't wait to see what my harvy stats are now.

I think I'm going to go scare my co-workers by dancing a jig.

I've been experimenting on everything I could, and it has paid off! I think I sold every single harvester I had in stock in under 30 minutes when the servers came back up after the patch. I love breaking the 500k club finally
