Thread: Harvester Change is good.

I don't know who keeps whining that this harvester change (that is supposed to be reverted) is bad. I like the change. Sure... I may have a smaller hopper... (I wish I got 10 experimentation points), but... I have 5 harvesters experimented to 9 extraction rate (from what was 7). And I have one Fusion Generator with 26 extraction rate and 416k hopper size. How is THAT a bad thing?

Needless to say, I'm thankful that I experimented on ALL of my goods (c:

ok so lets put this into perspective

now lets say you logged onto day

and you had like you said 5 harvesters that had gone from 7kgh to 3 or 4kgh if you were lucky and the hoppers gone to next to nothing

your telling me this wouldnt have botherd you

there are always two sides to the coin

in this case people who have experimented and cantsee a problem as it doesnt affect them so therefore they dont care about other people!

the other side is people who didnt experiment now have junk, wasted hours time and commitment.

Now imagine you had just made 50 heavy harvesters and they were all junk, hmmm prob about 7 million in lost credits, (u sure you wouldnt be a tad annoyed yet)

Im glad to hear your ok but think of the bigger picture and try if at all possible think of other players, not everyone is as fortunate as you, maybe the new details should stay, but for the people who have made not so good harvs in the past should they really suffer through something they had no controll over?

For those people that made not so good harvesters... they should have seen this coming and experimented. I mean... they had LOTS of warning. THey did it with crafting stations/tools. Why wouldn't they do the same with Harvesters/housing? I experiment EVERYTHING. I can guarantee you that MY customers are more than happy. If you, or your architect that you paid 1.2 CPU to for your harvesters didn't experiment, then in my opinion, you got your just deserts. I ask 4-5 CPU for my products, and I'll bet today, my customers that paid that are very happy they paiud me a little more for a better product.

Ignorance is bliss eh Canda?

The devs said from day one...and continue to say by the way...that experimentation wasnt going to be a part of the architects structures. Not once did they say they were even looking at changing it until it happened to pop on Test Center which they then said wasnt going to go live.

I dont care either way to be honest but dont talk spout your sanctimonious bs about how people got their "just deserts" (its desserts by the way) because people actually listened to the developers.

If experimentation wasn't going to be a part of our items.... then why have it at all?

Canda,

Either way the dev's have an obligation to tell us before these changes happen. If you go on believing that only hopper size will be affected by expirimentation (which Q-3PO said on the sticky at the top of this forum) and play the game accordingly, you just got screwed by this game. It isn't fair that everyone is thrown this random curve ball and all of the sudden my extractors just went down in value because somebody else can make a better one.

I have no problem with experimentation extending to extraction rate AND hopper size. My problem is that the devs say that it won't, but then all of the sudden one dayI don't have time toplay, and everything changes without advance warning. Now there are people with super extractors already benefitting from an unintentional bug by pulling way more resources in than other architects who went about playing the way they thought the game would be. I'm not knocking these people as you usually do better in the game when you have more time to play, but it's unfair to those of us who couldn't plan on it.

*Takes a breath* What's even more annoying is that holocron is the only dev to respond about this issue and he doesn't even know that it was unintentional. I know I sound like a raging you know what right now but it just seems like this is a huge imbalance to our profession and destroys a lot of work up to this point (at least for some of us).

so also all the people who dont come on here and read the forums then did they get there just desserts!

Some people did not no, does that make them ignorant!

some people do not sit on the forums 24 hours a day!

some people do not have the backing of a pa!

and most of all the thing I hate,

because your alright means you couldnt give a**edit** about other architects!

Show some maturity and respect for your other players.

Have you looked at your ablity to experiment?

We have half off what the rest of the craftering community has. So no, making us experiment without giving up 100% skill TO experiment is a total waste.

I've experimented everything also as a precaution, and when I logged on today my vendors were empty! The only reason I actually did experiment was because of the correspondent threads listing experimentation as a top concern for architects. I did that just because I had no idea whether or not they were just going to give +100 or take it away or add what we can experiment on etc..

I'm fine with the chnages as I was more less prepared for it, but at the same time, it wasn't a listed change and there's no justification for those players who don't frequent these boards or even the ones that do. Although I hope they leave this in game, I also hope the fix the blunder by making the pre-patch stuff experimentable. I don't think that'll happen though

From what I gathered in the dev posts, they'll be reverting this. Hope ya'll didn't get too hard
