Thread: Faction Bases?

I had seen someone mention that as architects, we can purchase the schematics for Rebel and Imperial bases we could build, but that they were a huge number, 60k, of faction points. Can anyone affirm or deny this, because I cannot find any evidence of it and am really hoping they are correct and that no one has been able to get it with an architect yet.

However...


I do know you can buy the actual bases for these...Hmmm...I got an idea...please read my new thread -- gonna call it New Feature..

I'm grinding my way to Novice BH so I read the FAQ to see what was in store and saw that I could get 1000 BH xp per Faction Base I take down with a group.


Anyone know more about this? Static locations, what it takes to do it, difficulty, is it a lot better than BH missions for the BH xp?


After the 6k to get Investigations II, it would only be 28 Faction Bases to Investigations IV so it would have to be somewhat hard, right?


Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I thought these were NPC bases. I don't know anything about them. So, these can have overt players defending them, and there's a timer? Is there any information about these at all? That's all I'm looking for is info on these bases, what they are, where they're at, what I have to do, etc.

Has to be a PC base. The terminals will pop up for a 2 hour time period each day. One of the terminals is BH's are able to slice. When you slice the terminal you first must find the Frequency out of 10 possible frequencies. Always choose 5 first and it will tell you that you have to go higher or lower. Once you find the correct frequency then you must find the correct chanel out of 10 chanels. Once you do that the terminal is jammed and you get your 1000 investigation xp. Remember that you must be OVERT in order to be able to jam a terminal.

Thanks a lot for the info! So, what other members do I have to have with me, and what do they have to do (and does it affect me getting my 1k xp)? Also, is the difficulty in successfully finding/jamming a terminal worth the 1k, or is it just better to do BH missions?

Ah, well then after I get Investigations III then...


What are the static locations, what does it take from all members start to finish to do it, what's the difficulty, is it a lot better than BH missions for the BH xp?

Has anyone really done many of these? I had never heard of them until reading the FAQ, so maybe they're not that popular...

I've hacked 3 in the past 4 weeks. Got two of the bases to blow and 1 where we lost our smuggler....*sigh*. Anyways, you do get 1000 investigation xp. However at investigation 3 bud, stick on the Kaadara investigation train. If you can bag a terminal hack when the chance is provided then sure go for it, but don't go out of your way for it. You will waste more time than you would save. Hope that helps.

well...i only had invest 2 when i did it and i actually soloed them by myself....the bad thing is that u have to know when the base was place because it is vuneralbe only 2 hours after the base was placed...and it is vunderable for 2 housr everyday after that at the same time...what i did with my first base was i usually play late at night so i went to a base and camped it....i killed all the npc's and it just so happened the base was vunerable during this time because i went inside and saw the uplink terminal i jammed it and got 1000 xp in invest....there was a base next to it thinking that i would be another 1000 xp but when i went in there(it was the same type of base) the uplink terminal wasn't there, i was perplexed and so i did some research and that is how i found out they are vunerable...i tried the static bases but no luck, i think u can't do these for now...but player bases are the ones that work....u don't need a group because the BH it the one that initalizes the destruction of the base so u can do this solo but u won't be able to destroy it....i would recommend this definatly...to find out when the base is vunerable just camp it and wait...when u see players around it for a 2 hour period then u know it is probably the time it is vunerable...go overt and take out npc and get your xp....i was luck when i did mine because no one was around it during its vunerable time...i guess they figured that it was so late no one would try to take it out that late and not enough people would be on to take it out....but hey i got my xp and that is what i cared about now i wanna take out the bases completely...FYI once u jam a uplink terminal u can't jam it again....maybe at server restart but i haven't tested this...
