heya folks

i have a quick question - how long will a house last after an account expires? a few former guildmates of mine have put me on their admin list for their houses, and have since quit. the houses are still around, and i still pay some upkeep on them until i can find a way to move/sell their contents, but i'm wondering how much time i have. will the houses disappear before their upkeep expires, or will they wait until then? anyone have any idea?

Actually, you should be a bit careful. If player X cancels their account, then *in theory* SOE could nuke the account / character at any time. Obviously SOE has a tradeoff to make in terms of enticing the player back (with their character intact) and cleaning up the database of stuff that isn't being used. Given the SOE track record of dynamically changing various limits with no notification, I'd feel a little uneasy counting on a structure being there after someone has left for good.

That said, you are probably good for a month or so, but I would get this stuff cleaned up sooner rather than later if you value the contents.

I can't argue with SOE's mindset, anything is possible. However, I have a medium house that I took over from a toon that canceled over Thanksgiving week that I use for storage. I know for a fact he has not renewed (he's my neighbor!), but I definitly can see SOE cleaning up their database.

normaly that one will last untill the old char gets deleted fr0om database!

meansfollowing the SOE rules after 7 days but u can get lucky and tey forget to delete it, so all depends when they clear database of canceled acounts, then all items the former player owned will go poof.
