Thread: A request of the architects

I may be going out on a limb here but I have a request to make of the crafters in our community and as such I am posting this message or a version of it to all crafting boards.

As many of you may know the time is apparently coming around for our top 5 issues to be compiled. I'd really like to see all crafters put storage on one of those top 5.

As it is we stockpile enough houses worth of resources to sink small countries, and frankly it shouldn't be that way in my opinion. I know I am coming to the people who sell those houses asking for support to make some of them less needed. I also know I am coming to the one profession that more than any other eats bulk resources to make their product.

If you're like me at one point or another you had everything nicely fitting in one house as a crafter and had no problems running your buisness out of that house or another location. If you've been around for a while chances are your lots available for harvesters is dwindling or has dwindled to almost nothing, or you've had to get an alt or arrange lot swap deals.

My point is this, combat classes don't need 5 houses and a factory to make a living, why should we? If they would raise the cap on resource stacks by a factor of 10 or even 5 and raise the stack size on factory crates the same the situation would solve itself. I don't know about most of you but personally 500k stacks versus 100k stacks means 1 house versus 5 to me.

I am just trying to lobby support for an issue that all of us crafters face. We've seen time and again that enough of us saying the same thing will make a change, hence why I am asking that we put this issue forwards.

Thankyou for your time and consideration

yes i agree with you bigger stacks would reduce the item storage usage alot and would help all crafters.

but let me add something also. i find it rediculous that there is a huge inbalance in the factory crates and even lot usage.

why architects who as u mentioned use miggest amount ofresources aka need normally more harvesters have the only factory which costs 2 lots?

2nd, why stim packs come in crates of 50, armor layers in crates of 100, furnitures in crates of 10, droid chassis and light power core units in crates of 5?!?!

that isnt fair if u produce things, a cate should have a cap for all same amount. why someone needs to stock 20 crates to get 100 items made and other ppl 1 crate? this is bad for item storage also.

there is a huge inbalance for all crafters who get the shaft

there was a thread cloating around this forum sugessting a storage room that architects would build to enlarge a houses storage amount. This would be a great idea and would solve our problems.

Raising the stacking rate of resources is a good idea, but don't forget factory crates. They should be standardized, and the standard should be at 100 or even 1000 items per crate. This topic has actually been brought up here before several times, but I don't recall if it was ever considered for a top 5 issues list.

Just be glad they upped the resource stacks to 100,000 from 10,000.

I think part of the reason for stacking rates being wonky might be in how physically large some items are considered. Granted the in game size of items varys WILDLY (Ask a bio engineer to drop some tissue components sometime, one looks like a hair dryer taller than most Wookiees). but in all fairness, Architecural and structural pieces are big... very big.

Though I have to agree, it would be very nice to have Stacking rates a bit larger for architecture items.
