I was just wondering if there is anyway to have furniture on the upstairs balcony on a larger house (med or large). I thought it would be cool to have some torches up on my balcony but I discovered I can't drop things there. Is there any plan to allow furniture on balconies?

I hope so, but I doubt it since it would bog down the server when people walk by because it will have to draw items on the balcony. All items in a house to load until your actually in the house. I do hope they do this, atleast for the roofs on the large houses where no one on outside can see it anyways.

Not being able to place anything makes them rather pointless.

Something else about the patios, when you step out on them, you're considered to have left the building. If you happen to be in a building that charges you an entrance fee, and your alotted time runs out while you're on the patio, you're S.O.L. You're not officially in the house, so you're not ejected. So you must pay the entrance fee again in order to go through the house to leave. I figure sooner or later, they're going to have to address that problem, and maybe that'll force something to allow patio furniture.

They aren't really pointless. You can /sample from them. Mobs can also attack you on them. So they are just like outside.
