Thread: Strange harvester experience
The second thing that baffled me was the fact that when I checked both hoppers, the medium had about the same amount of units as the large harvester. Actually, if I added up the large harvester's units (the old resource and the one it switched to by itself), it's actually a bit less than what's in the medium's hopper. How can this be? I asked the architect who sold me the harvesters and he couldn't explain it either.
Any thoughts? Thank you.
well seems there are some things that SEO still hasn't worked the bugs out .
For instance , last week i was mining GAS to work in my generators , now I had no gas in my inventory at all , I went to the harv and there was 18k in the resource I needed . I was like w00t great get to make a boatload . I emptied the harv , then redeeded , since the resouce had shifted . Now mind you that was on a spot for 3 days , so that amount was accurate.
I ran back to my house went to make a schematic and BOOM I had 500 untis of some new GAS , It was still a known reactive gas , that just baffled me for a good 5 minutes , before I just chalked it up to a bug . BTW that gas I now had in my inventory was a resource that hadnt popped in 3- 4 weeks .
sucks when things like this happen
that auto-switching of resources when there was another of the same type available used to be operative back in beta, but I havent seen it ever in retail, and I manage like 40 harvesters. I miss it though!
As for the resource amounts, that does sound strange indeed.
Nope, sorry, I have to disagree. This was the first time I've been back since setting up the harvester and never even looked at the resource list since it was placed. Everything was fine until that morning when the harvester shifted the resource type by itself.
And even if I did what you suggested, when would I have done it? Can't be the day before because the resource type it switched to is new. Can't be that day when I went to check my hopper because there were about 800 units in there of the new resource already. It doesn't add up.
