Thread: Urban Planners (master lvl petition relevant)
Well I was thinking I would post this in the petition ifit had any hope of being read by someone in power so a thread of its own sounded good. Let the forum monster eat it if you want.
Instead of making urban planner a whole new profession that will require gobs of skill points, that people don't have, or placing all the structures in a single tier allowing for people to make them somewhat easily even if the PA doesnt have a master arch. Heres an idea...
Urban Planner: the elite elite skill.
It will be the same idea as an elite elite profession but instead of a whole new tree just one skill box. It will require master architect to get, cost max apprentice xp,or just 1000 whatever, and hold all the player city buildings (except:______) and require only 1 skill point, or 6 or whatever. That way you guys do get a benefit in the aesthetic department, there is a high end requirement for town halls and all that stuff, plus it is skillcap friendly.
Well thoughts? thoughts?
Beuller? Beuller? Beuller?
No, I do keep up on everything player city relevant, in fact it was mentioned in my post "or placing all the structures in a single tier allowing for people to make them somewhat easily even if the PA doesnt have a master arch. " and in the title if you understand what the petition to move all CITY STRUCTURES to master architect involves moving all the city structures to master architect. Well then why not just add one more skill box that requires master arch, call it urban planning, put all the structures up there so that it one ups the idea of the petition, only costs 1 skill point, and everyone is happy plus you guys get a bit of an aestethic bonus.
Don't agree with your idea. The publish is scheduled (as of right now anyways) for next week. They would have to code your idea, send it to internal testing server, then push to TC in a week. Not nearly enough times to work out all the bugs.
Also why this push to make all the player city stuff so elite? There won't be much demand for it. The number of player cities will be limited per planet. So there won't be a large demand for it. Figure most cities will be by PA which usually have their own Architecht. So you're looking at about four per planet up for bids as is? It will take a week or so before anyone can gain in politician so there will be a pause before any other buildings will be ordered.
This lack of a viable market is why they cancelled the Urban Planner class in the first place. It doesn't have a viable market.
