In my opinon this is right wherestructure/furniturepricing should be.
Its not high but not low. You can make a profit but not a killing.

I already know im going to get slammed by all you undercutters.
You will be wasting your breath so dont bother. (Dayln)

I just wish everyone stuck close to these prices.

Good work Vespin, Hats off

Thanks for posting that link. That should really be a good guideline for pricing. For those of you "undercutters" out there, why not consider selling wholesale to people like that? I don't totally agree with some of those prices but, overall I approve of them. The personal harvester prices are off the deep end. It only costs 1500 to redeed one (If I remember correctly)and many people just trash them and buy new ones. I'd say 800-1200cr each for personals is more appropriate. The other prices are more than fair considering once you own it and maintain it, you won't need another one unless decay is introduced. And I'll mention it again for the devs.....please remove the administrative priviledge option from harvesters. This would put an end to players having lots that aren't linked to their account. Yes, I'd have to check my harvesters on both accounts separately but, that's a minor issue I'd be willing to deal with. Even removing the option from factories would be a big help. Houses...well, I don't really see much damage done by that. If anyone else does, please feel free to elaborate.

I'd never sell anything if I set my prices that high on Tarquinas. For the most part he's selling for 6.7 credits per unit cost of materials to make these items. But the prices on my server may just be totally screwed up from under cutters, but personal harvesters sell for 1k, small houses 10k and so on. But if he can get those prices more power to them!

That's what I tell em Auri. GO buy it from that guy that will sell for 10k less than me. Did that today as a matter of fact. Guess what... same guy ended up buying at my price anyway.

2 quick things, Danvar. (For you or your web designer)

If you open the Tips navigation on the side, the Links button is messed up when you hover over it.

Under the homeowner tips, you could tell about being able to adjust the height of things by dropping them on the stairs (if there are stairs in the room) and using the /move command.

Otherwise, nicely done.

Thanks for those suggestions. I'm not much of a web designer, and as you can see, my Photoshop Artistic abilites are sub-par. I'll make those changes soon. Thanks for letting me know about that broken link.

Actually... the pricing is right about 4 credits per unit. Give or take .5 CPU. I used a formula of 3 CPU for cost, then +25-35% (depening on resources used) for profit margin. It works great for me. I'm not so stupid busy that it takes me a week to deliver on orders. I can keep my furniture vendor very well stocked. And I make enough to buy resources from suppliers (usually between 2 and 3 CPU) this keeps me in business, keeps the miners working for me and buying FROM me. And I can buy products from other architects at 2 CPU or less and turn around to sell for a small profit.

I put in an order with one guy making heavies for 58k each. And he still has not delivered over 3 weeks later. Supposed to deliver tonight. Granted... I don't make every sale from folks approaching me with this level of pricing, but I offer nearly immediate delivery, great customer service. And a couple of other perks

One perk I recently started was, I offer a 5% kickback for referrals, on first purchase only. If someone refers a friend to me, I will offer the person that made the referral 5% of final purchase price from the person they reffered (for instance, if John send Bob to me to buy something, Bob buys a Lrg Chem for 125k, I send bob approx 6k as a kick back for sending a referral to me).

I also offer a 50% buyback on upgrading. It's not much, but it's what I can do.

I'm really pleased you guys like the site. I recently did some updating of the furniture and buildings section to make them a little easier to use. I figured most peopel didn't care what architectural level the items were created at, so I added in a couple pages to make things easier to find.

That's the type of business sense I like to see in a person. I also like the referral idea. Mind if I steal it from ya? ;-) And Dayln....I hope you are the next Century 21 sales rep I run across. I could use a nice 5 bedroom home with a pooland a hot tub. Do you accept penny rolls? Loose change?

Nice site. And for those who say "Your're crazy, I can buy it from so and so (insert Dalyn here) for 10k less", then just tell them "BUY IT!".
