Thread: Interior decoration
well ifrst off the best idea when decorating is nto to clutter yes large great displayes of clustered colors and obects are nice but you also want the whole room to be veiwed so you want to try to disperce it through out the intire room. You should if your decorating a larger house or building start to give the rooms perpuses before you start putting objects in them(such as bed rooms and dinning room). After that set an item limit for what you want to do to the room, if it is going to be a bed room for example you knwo you need about at least 5 major decorations, and then ad maby 20 more items through out the room. keep in mind that you should adapt that equation for the diffrent size houses. But those are the major things to keep in mind.

When you decorate a house is there any room left to store things?
I think it depends on if you want a showcase or a functional building. Most buildings thathave a room or two done up with something very fancy as a showcse such as fireplaces or aquariums, usually dont or cant decorate every room, there just isnt that much storage.
If youare decorating for a functional use then you need to devide the number of items up by the size of the rooms and what each room is to be used for, it can make some rooms look a tad empty but at least each room has something in it.
Would be very nice to have more space in large and guild halls so that all that space wasnt wasted and just sitting empty.
An example.
Customer is using a Medium Tattoine house and is a crafter.

Before I start any project, I always ask the owner if Storage is a consideration. Then I just go from there. Whatever the customer wants, I try to provide.
Excellent point there Fueller and that's a question I always ask as well. If you want good decoration in one homethen you have to look at sacrificing 2 lots for an additional medium/small for storage.
Even if you gothave the extraitem spaces for a largerhome you have to consider level of detail for each space. You can do a lot more detail decorating with a 150 small-generic and 3 rooms then you can with a 250 large-generic and 11 rooms. I've recently downsized my large generic to a small generic because I wanted more detail per room. It's my own personal living space I've defined and within a small generic floorplan 2 style 1 I have a fully decked out front sitting room, office and open concept living quarters with seperated living/kitchen area & bedroom. Even with that I still have about 40 items for storage/future trophies.
Bigger, at present considering the item restrictions, is not necessarily better...
