Eventually I would like to see you guys get houses revamped and new ones similar to this. However for the time being you cannot make a purchase reward a schematic and mandate that a player must trust an architect will not rip them off or botch the job.

This really is the first time you guys have dealt with a looted item being added without a need for crafting. Weaponsmith still do good business even with all the new loot. Chef had some looted items added to the game. One house will no kill the housing market forever. Remember some people use many storage houses or guildhalls.

Instead of lamenting on what could have been, with regards to this purchase reward, you need to focus on pressing the devs to revamp your current houses.

Not any more than a regular guild hall... in other words, not expensive at all.Even a newbiecan pay enough maint for a year after about 5 days off the shuttle.

Wow - architects that are stuck selling their items at 3CPU or less now rip people off and botch jobs? How do you botch making a house that takes no special resources or expermintation required.

This from someone that is clearly not a crafter.

After two years of non-stop neglect, we do still focus on pressing for improvements to our profession. Unfortunately, the response has ranged from total developer apathy to subtle "you're not needed" signals such as this loot item, auto-debit on negelected structures, and looted paintings which do not require an architect to complete.

We haven't even been given empty promises the way smugglers were for so long. On the other hand, unlike rangers, we haven't been told our profession is going to "upgraded" to something with a a wholly different focus. I suppose they could revamp us from architects to plumbers, and exchange crafting with a /fixStoppedToilet skill.

Might be cool to have a +25 buttcrack, though...

Yeah it's very sad... Even new players aren't going to need to buy a house.... They get one for free... New guilds won't need to buy a guild hall.... They get one for free all they have to do is use this house - since it states it can be used as a guild hall...

Well...they could always let us build on adventure planets...with a guaranteed decay after 1 week, (and no pack-up).

Architects are a PITA to play. You work for a week to get the resources to build for a day, then find out that no one wants to pay that much, even though it took that much to make the thing. Or else, you get demands left and right for products it'll take you a month to fill, limiting your game to that of a job. (I almost miss that.)

What difference does it make as to who I am to a "some sorts" crafter who comes into the forum and acuses architects of ripping people off and botching jobs?
