Thread: Pawlin: Are the Devs ever going to fix the Bestine Painting issue?

This is getting so old where some servers like Valcyn is bugged and paintings cannot be purchased.

I made a bug report still broke many months later

I made a CSR ticket last night, The response was there is no such NPC handing out schematics in Bestine. (WTFH)


I know that there is many bugs in game, but this issue really is old and has yet to get some sort of answer for a fix eta.

If this response is made for the painting quest, something is now quite wrong now and we might have to try to put a little bit more pressure for the fix because every architects know about this bug quest.

Its horrible that my Eclipse toon can buy "Mon Cal Eyes" by the crate for 25k, but my Infinity toon would have to pay over 100k for just one - and that's only IF I could find one for sale. Some paintings easily go way higher. (And I'm just talking the Bestine ones)

The only thing about Valcyn is that we have not been bugged as long as some of the other servers have been. You can find every single painting but the Mon Cal Eye 2 for 7k each. The Mon Cal Eye 2 is from 15-20k each.


It would be nice to be able to pick up some extra schematics for back savings. But our current market is flooded with all but the Mon Cal Eye 2 (which appeared for maybe an hour and then despawned recently).


I think I am going to have to start camping the museum guy when it comes close to time for the schem to spawn, and be there right after server reset from now on. Wont be too hard, I get up around 6 CDT normally anyway.


This is a bug that needs attention though. But I seriously doubt we ever hear from a Dev in anyway on this. I cant remember the last time they were seen in this forum except to post some smart ass reply, or something that is not satisfying at all.

I'm seriously giving thought to getting another account (thinking about it anyways), setting up on Eclipse, filling my inventory with every painting schematic I can find, transfer to Infinity, and become the Painting King!

Yes that was a CSR response, it made me mad, when I was a architect on radiant, I never had this issue, now that I am establishing on Valycyn I would like to have paintings to supplement my sales, I been on valcyn for 3 months now and I am annoyed to say the least. I dont use paintings as a main sale, I try to keep everything but harvestors and crafting stations in stock. (Harvestors and stations are not worth my time for the money)

I just gotta offer the name of CSR-ChrisG. He has a few posts on the CSR forum. I really suggest taking the more 'colorful' reponses you receive from other CSRs to him as I've seen very positive results of his interaction on matters like these.


Having said that, CSRs cannot overcome bugs, and we have to hope that the process of bug fixing focuses on the painting schematics in Bestine someday.

This needs to be addressed. It's been broken on Sunrunner for quite some time. One suggestion is for everyone to do a /bug at each login, at least that way it will show up in their daily reports when they querry the bug database...

From what I've heard from other people, submitting the same bug report over and over can get you banned for harrassment.
