I look through the architect forums and reviewed the FAQ and need some help understanding an issue.
In my medium house on Talus, which is my declared residence and in my alt's medium house, which is his declared residence, I have found that by storing stacks of resources in the crafting stations, they do not count towards the total items in the house.
This includes stacks of:
- Flora
- Minerals
- Animal resources
- Gas
- Ect
This does not include:
- Janta blood
- Cates of components
- Individual components
My issue is. Today I moved my residence over into the medical center and when I put resources in the crafting station, they count towards the total items in the house.
Can anyone give me some insight into what is going on here and why.
Thx

The way it *currently* works is that if you put 20 items (for example) into the input hopper of a crafting station then those 20 items *count* against your house total.
For awhile about a year ago that was not the case - those 20 items in the input hopper would NOT count against your house total.
I *think* that when they switched over to the new system they didn't go back and fix houses that were already up. So if your existing houses have been set up since last fall, then I suspect that's what you are running into.

That shouldn't be happening then.
Just to double check:
1. Check your house status for the total number of items.
2. Go open up the input hopper of a crafting station and drop 1 full stack of something into it.
3. Go back and check the house status. If it did NOT go up, then it is a bug, based on my understanding of what is supposed to happen.

Both of my houses (Mains and alts) support storing items in the crafting station without adding to the houses total. I have over 280 items in my main's medium house.
To clarify when the houses were placed, Augest means two months ago and May means 5 months ago. I hope this helps to better understand my situation

If this is what is happening for you then I think you've discovered a bug.
Items in the crafting stations are supposed to count towards the house inventory. If they didn't then we'd all just have 150 crafting stations in our small houses...

Here are the facts for my main toons house
(Note: Last night I changed my declared residence from this house im speaking about to the medical center of my city)
Total items in house according to the house terminal = 104
Items I counted in house including two crafting stations = 98 (I could have miss counted the difference of 6)
Items in crafting station #1 = 93
Items in crafting station #2 = 46
Total items in both crafting stations = 93 + 46 =139
Total items in house =139 + 98 = 237
This same situation is occuring in my alts house.

Ya that is a bug you've got there.
Items in crafting stations should count towards house inventory.

The count for in your house inventory for a few hours, I think. When I drop fresh stuff in there, it's counted, but then it goes away. Since I know this is a bug, I try to keep my stuff under the limit, just incase the bug gets fixed and deletes stuff without me knowing, or having a chance to move the stuff.
Long live the storage vendor!

Hmm. Might be something that gets thrown out of wack at a server reset.
