Thread: Getting bad results

Curious if you are using your good copper for the ore component as well or using actual ore? Even without the added components I am getting much better results with some low to mid 900 conductivity copper. If you aren't already, try using your good copper in the ore slot as well.

Using 800 Conductivity copper on a craftion station it's -8 before experimentation. I can experiment it up to 71%, making it +6. The name display was something like...radius of use, or something like that. I always thought that was how far away you could be while still in it's effect.

Hi all.

A friend of mine wanted me to make him a food/chem crafting station and a General crafting station. So I head over to my own crafting station and start to work on the production. First I check what resources I have that is best for the various components.

A fully upgraded crafting stations requires 5 compartments (from the novice droid) and 2 of 2 other items (from master artisan) I have those skills so I start making those. The end result in the experimentation on each item for effectivness leaves me somewhere between 39-55% per item. To me this is ok. not bad but not great.

I then move over to my furniture station and starts to assemble these items with the resouces needed. 400 of steel/copper/alum and 50 low grade ore. Looking at what stats determines effectivness I see its conductivity for 100%. Copper is the best choice then. So I throw in 400 units of copper at 700ish conductivity and... crap... 1% effectivness. With 10 points to spend on experimentation I can only use 1 on effectivness. making it go up to 3% or so.

Looking at the effectiness of the general crafting station I am making it shows -12.??? %. That is a crappy station so I turn it into a practice xp thing.

I go over my stash of materials and select the absolute best I can get. None of them have below 650 in the requires stats for that item I am making.

second attemt makes me get 0% effectivness before experimentation. leaving me with no experimentation abbility in effectivness, so I spend it all on decay or what ever that other thing is. This time i didnt use copper but some steel with good conductivity stats.

third attempt. Good stats on the components and I figure I might be doing it wrong. So I add 400 of the ore that have good stats in decay (or whatever it is, and get crappy results.

This got to be a bug. Since the major patch we are able to examine crafting stations and such and see the effectivness. the ones I was using then had negative numbers so I replaced them with new ones I made and got between 6-16 in effectivness to the various stations. I used basically the same material this time as I did then.

Does anyone else suffer from the same thing I do. components turn out ok-great, but the final product is crap?

interesting.

So others are able to get good result in effectivness while experimenting. Before I got to 91% so there is something amiss.

But its like I told a friend. "I'm bugged. I can do things others can't and I can't do things others can."

Ah well.
