Thread: Heavy harvestors
This link might help.
http://dynamic6.gamespy.com/~swgcraft/harvtool.php
actually a heavy harvester pulls out 100*%.
So for 80% spot it gets 8k.
This is for 7kg/h harvesters (not fusion) and includes a 1h shutdown/day.
Just take any max kg/hr rate and convert to minutes. So take 7kg/hr x the % = .80. then multiply by 60 for the number of minutes in an hour then multiply by 24. Thats your max for heavy harvester on 80%.
Fusion on an 80% is 13kg/hr = 10.4 x 60 = 624 x 24 = 14976 per day.

That formula is close. The harvs actually yank up a wee bit more than that, but it's pretty darn close where I use it for all my calculations. Maybe an easier way to explain it is that your harv has a max rate and the percentage of resource you surveyed - is the % of the max rate it'll bring up. Like the above example - if your heavy harvester is 7.0 KGH max rate, and you find an 80% field, it'll take up 80% of 7.0 (which is 5.6 KGH).
Now, what does 5.6 KGH mean? Read the "KGH" rating as "units per minute" to better wrap your brain around it. So, sixty minutes in an hour - 24 hours in a day, you would have 5.6 x 60 x 24 to get your daily amount being drawn up (8,064 units a day).
Again, you'll actually be pulling up a wee bit more than that (like 8100 or so), but that's how it's calculated.
Does 1 resource = 1 gram? i.e. k/g per hour is how many hundreds (thousands? which?) per hour?
(insert reply that doesnt answer my question here)
Damnitt what I am asking is how many resources is 1 kg/hour?

Phantom, do you not read?
My post directly above yours says this:
Now, what does 5.6 KGH mean? Read the "KGH" rating as "units per minute" .
Which means, if you're getting 3.5 KGH or 2.0 KGH, read it as "I'm getting 3.5 units a minute", or "I'm getting 2.0 units a minute".
Now, since you're a whiz at math, you know 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day. 3.5x60x24 or 2.0x60x24 will get you the daily gathering.
