If the guild leader isn't on enough or won't give up leadership when he is on, then the only real option you would have would be to get everyone together in the guild and decide whether its worth starting a new guild over or trying to gain the leadership. Keep in mind though, when the system does start an election automatically after 30 days, all it takes is for the leader to just log in and they automatically cancel since he/she is on now.

I would suggest emailing the leader, or even having a few people email him and ask that he transfer leadership to someone else, or start an election so the guild can elect one since they don't have the time to be online to manage the guild. Most responsible guild leaders would understand that request and agree once its pointed out to them. Not everyone will react that way though, but that would be my suggestion to try to help you guys out.

If you guys do decide that you don't want to wait, have one person disband from the guild, buy a guild hall and place it. Create the new guild and then have people disband as you add them to the new guild. Should the other guild ever disband you could use their name/tag but you'd likely have to use something different, but you could try to make it similiar.

unfortunatly the gl has logged in to rerun for the election...and has not ibeen on to tranfer leadership

I have to say thatit is a great way to run a guild into the ground. I had that problem with my guild on radiant. The only time the GL logged in was to run for mayor and if you didn't vote for her she would kick you from the guild....

Then that is an EXTREMELY poor guild leader and you're much better off in a new guild anyways.
