I dont know about other people, but I hate item decay. Every single time I login or shoot something, I think.. **edit**, did that decay my item? How many more days till item XYZ falls apart and I need a new one?

If I go AFK for 10 minutes, how much have all my items decayed? I just lost 10 minutes of game time going to the bathroom. **edit** I better go run some missions I need to save up money for repairs. There are so many "annoyances" and things to keep track of in this game it is overwhelming.

Playing this game is like a job, and can even be stressfull, trying to keep everything straight. Its becoming less and less FUN. Whenever I "play" (even when I dont play) i have to keep track of:

1) when all my weapons decay

2) when all my clothes decay

3) maintentance on all of my harvesters, cant let harvester maint. run out or i lose all the resources..

4) maintenance on my house

5)have resources shifted today? (resource shifts are extremely frequent now)

6) have I cloned recently? do i want insurance this time? can i afford insurance this time?

7) are all my secondary stats and battle fatigue healed up

8) am i running low on Stims and Pet Stims (its why i have harvesters)

9) is my vehicle repaired enough for my game session

and you want to add furniture decay?? dont i have enough on my list of worries already?! if i wanted more stress, i can get plenty of it at work. #1-9 is already way too much stress for any MMORPG.

Please, I dont care how much it would "benefit" Architects to add furniture decay, don't add a #10) to my list of worries.

This is probably a pipe dream given SWG's database issues, but what if architects could experiment the item cap on housing? This could singlehandedly solve the continuing problem of architect profitability. Can you imagine what price people would pay for a 150 item limit small structure experimented to say, 175 or 200?

I really hope you DEVs won't ban people for that so called exploit, it's a bug. How are you suppose to avoid it? Not making those kind of items? Yeah... right.

Another option, assuming that experimentation with item caps for houses is unapalatable to the devs, would be the ability to customize the number of lots that each style house takes. For example, right now small houses (forget the round naboo) take 2 lots, medium take 2 lots, and large houses take 6. What if the item limit remained at 75 per lot (grrr, but I'll deal) but an architectcould specify the number of lots on a deed during construction. E.g. make a small house that took6 lots = 450 item cap. Or create a large house that only used 2 lots = 150 item cap.

This is less desirable than actually being able to experiment with item caps for housing (and less marketable as well) but at least opens the possibility of players having fully decorated large houses... or crafters not having to run between 3 small houses, 2 of which are just empty structures filled with backpacks. (And yes, let's get rid of backpacks and add furniture schematics that act as true containers).

This ideain no way increases DB bloat--in fact lessens it slightly by creating a single structure that might take up 10 lots and hold 750 items instead of 5 small houses littering the landscape holding the same 750 items. Just something to consider.

And while I'm at it, just a personal peeve:no more narrow entry corridors! Most housing floorplans open to a narrow corridor. I'm thinking of medium and large Tatooines, both small Naboos, PA Halls, Large Naboo, etc. While I suspect this might have been to give objects in the larger rooms time to load, we're all aware that upon entering a building there is a delay before interior objects load--and we are usually past these narrow halls before they load anyway. I find these corridors architecturally annoying. They are usually dark, ugly, and hard to decorate. New house schematics with large entries would be great.

I agree with this fully. I'm not a architect, but I am a mayor of a town, having to go from one building to the next and the first thing I hit when I walk into ANY of them, is a **edit** wall! I hate that so much. In all the real life houses I have been in, there isn't one where the first thing I see when walking into a home is a wall. Usually if the house is in the higher price range you have a corridor, then main rooms like the kitchen, living room and dining room and hall to all the bedrooms. Lower end homes usually you walk strait into the living room, that is the focus of all homes. I was wondering, and I wouldn’t mind getting a dev or someone that knows anything about soe to respond to this. If I take the space that is allowed in the houses now and redesign the inside, would anything that I submit be considered? Or is the design of the homes final and nothing will ever be done about it? I would love to spend my time redesigning if I know a dev will just glance at my work, but why even bother if they don’t care?

I reactivated my account again for the trial period to see how things were going. I cannot say that I am thrilled. I'm quite saddened.

I checkedyour websiteArchAngel and I recognize 3/4ths of the issues listed were issues I had originally noted 6 months ago. This either means the list is outdated or the issues were never taken care of.

I admire your patience and didication to the professional and Ihope that your efforts are not in vain.

Good call on the website. Also i was wondering about items like paintings and other objects i see in cantinas and other buildings in non-player cities. Will architects ever be able to make a real desk!?

Nuts... a double post.

Any way I was going to suggest having droids take away our drudgery. How about:

Heavy harvesters have a droid slot. If a droid is in it, the harvester will automatically switch to a useful resource when the current one depeltes, it will contact you when it depletes, tells you of new resources that appear there when they shift and so on. Also they could pay maintenance when it comes due, report when out of power, you get the idea. Maybe better experimented droids have more features.

Droids that survey sort of like bounty hunter droids. Add the display to the planetary map.

Vehicles that can have a droid that surveys while you drive, maybe just a droid slot for the vehicle schematic and maybe only works with the landspeeder so those are actually useful. WHo the heck buys slower transports? Answer: nobody.

Binary load lifter picks up your hopper contents for you and waits at starport (using fade-in fade-out animation so you don't have to really animate this). The code could be very similar to the code that is invoked to call a pet. ONly you could have the droid appear further away and walk toward you, it would start based on a timer and location etc. Oh, and don't forget to send him back with a batch of power to load up into each of your harvesters for you. Better experimented load lifters move faster, hold more in their huge hoppers, can deliver to a vendor, and so on.

Do that stuff, and the droid engineer will stop sucking, and all the boring part of the harvesting is removed AND, it is all done in a plausible "realistic" way. Plus heavies will be much more advantageous overmediums and maybe we can ask a little more cash for them.

Nice idea, and it would save us so much time what with all the boring drudgery that is the everyday harvester maintenance life.
